^hmmm...something's missing...

Did you end up going w/ a supercharger (obv don't need to take out the motor to install) or what happened?

Yeah but there can be more to the story. Just saying s/c doesn't mean everything.

it all started when i got the supercharger for my car...
my friends and i installed it. and we didnt put the injectors in right.. and i towed it with my brothers truck to toyota cause they "said" that they had the reflash tool for the 06.
well after i got it there they turned the car on and drove it to the back... after about a weekend they said that they dont have the tool and that no dealership in the HOUSTON area has one and that im just out of luck.
well i go to pick up my car they said it was ok to drive it just not hard.
so i call every dealership in the houston area and some in san antonio(3hrs away) and finally found one in the other side of town in houston. so i drive there really early before traffic so tht i can drive slow.
they flash my car and i picked it up the same day. on the way home it feels weird.
i get home and the oil pan seal broke. so i go to toyota to buy the real sealant that they use and redo the oil pan..

then i installed a short ram filter on the sc.. bad idea(didnt know at the time). the car leans out and a couple of piston rings fry and then i realized 2 injectors werent in right.

so i buy a used motor from some place and they install it with the supercharger..
it runs good... stupid me installed the SR again and 3 days later pop and cel comes on.. leaned out again. so ive been driving it with a bad ring and it has no compression so i get TONS of blowby and finally it died...

oh btw i had the nst 9.5psi pulley.. so now i know that pulley and SR are not a good combo on the stock reflash...

im just saving up to get a new motor from toyota and have them install it with teh sc..
i think ive learned my lesson..

Wow. I read that about the s/c. Hopefully all goes well and the car gets back to running good again.

Ok, I've read about a guy somewhere on the east coast that...if your tC is sitting waiting for you to get money for a new motor, save a little more and get an entry level Lexus engine. Toyota will still install it (since it's still a Toyota one way or the other) and you'll get one hell of a kick out of it because the Lexus IS weights more than the tC does.

Just food for thought.
