Default Sirius

Anyone with Sirius or XM installed on there TC? My friend has asked me to install his Sirius antenna on his TC. I had no trouble at all with my XB but the TC is a bit more difficult. I was wondering where people ran the wire and mounted the antenna.

the dealers are putting the satellite antenna next to the regular antenna.. then running the wire up the water channel (between the body and the rubber weatherstripping on the hatch).. and into the car, down the c-pillar area to the rear seat (down the side) and into the tuner..

TC_Tampa if you could post a pic that would be great. Im not as familiar with the TC as I am with the XB so invisioining these areas is a bit tough when I have only looked at my friends car once for about 5 min.

Does anyone have pictures of where you mounted the Sirius unit inside the car? I can't figure out a good spot to place it-

Toyota announced they will offer Sirius on some of their models including the tC starting in Feb or March and the antennae will be moutned in one of the windows..can't remember if it's the front or rear...hopefully those of us who already have a tC can get these installed since the black box stuck on the outside of the car looks pretty bad.

IMHO, I would not put the unit on a painted surface as shown in photo. I would put at top of the back glass. This way is you need to move or get rid of, just a little work. On a painted surface, you are going to damage the finish.
