Did anyone see the group photo on the second page?
Wow, these guys all hanging out representing Volvo. LOL. I don't dislike volvo's at all but c'mon, a group trying to look tough like that?
Lame.

Heres a quick one that scared the hell outa me. I was merging off the highway and see a Scion TC still with new car temp tags. It had stock exaust and everything looked bone stock. As I get onto city streets I see him still pretty close on my tail so I punch it at apprrox 40mph and ride it out to about 65-70mph. To my unbeleivable surprise the Scion is still right on my tail, not gaining but exactly where he was before I punched it. I just ran a best trap of 100.07 at the track so theres no possible way that the car could of been stock, im thinking it was sprayed, how bout everyone else? I guess I felt what Mustangs and Civics and WRX's feel when a Volvo hangs right with them and most often pulls them.

That's a post from the link.

But dude... You're STILL driving a VULVO

Edit: Later in the thread, people are claiming the tC that passed him had a 'New TRD Supercharger' installed, and that was why it kept up with the Volvo...

They don't look too bad fixed up, though: http://www.pbase.com/dkauer744/impor..._june&page=all

Great way to represent the tC clan. Volvo's are for soccer moms. Great way to show up those momma's boys.

Disagree with your 5mph shift point though, that's pretty low. According to the manual you can get 25mph @ redline. I usally shift outta first at 15mph/3000 rpm.

Eeek, a riced out Volvo!!

Sweedish Rice!!

Before Scion I drove Porsche, SAAB, and Volvo.

Really good cars. I had 280,000 miles on my Volvo when
it got too expensive to keep it on the road (But was still
running) and I had 330,000 on my SAAB when I was hit
head on and the car was totalled.

I doubt a stock tC would have kept up with my turbo
SAAB though.

By "well equipped" i think they meant with Orthopedic back pillows and a glove compartment full of fiber-con.

Don't forget all the Cialis, too...

How's about that gang photo - ha - only a few were really giving it... and the sad thing is, judging from the pics, they are probably all just beating on their mom's cars...

Volvo - for the Practical Pimp, Just one "bling" is enough for me, I don't need two...

That's GOTTA be the Hand-Me-Down car club. Mom got a new FUV and I got the Volvo, but I can't admit that so I'll drive it really hard...and look really tough...

I meant the 'optimal fuel economy' shift. The Granny shift. You should absolutely shift at 3000 RPMs, or higher!

check this out....

Basic VolvoSpeed Vocabulary
Audi (n.) - A Lexus with a shorter life span. Agent Smith rolled up in an audi.

BMW (n.) - A german manufacturer that has decided to concentrate more on making a contemporary design and amassing a bunch of british manufacturer's as opposed to keeping up with its reputation. Oh NO! My non-european car just fell apart! Should have got myself something that isn't stuff.

Escalade (n.) - one of many large cars that men purchase to conceal the diminutive nature of their "manhood." (Or sometimes they just put Escalade badges on their GM or Chevy - source: beachrat.) That guy was born with a little ****, so he bought an Escalade to feel like a man.

Lexus (n.) - A toyota with rims and numbers instead of a cute and creative name. Girl: Nice camry., Guy: No, that's my ... nevermind.

Volvo (n.) - The only car a true pimp would be seen in. Drivers are generally well equipped and don't need to compensate for anything. Best in yellow. Wow, I wish I could get out of this prissy little Civic/Neon and into a nice Volvo.

Volvo, the only true pimp car.....
