Amazing. You come onto a forum and ask if you should commit insurance fraud and and file a false police report?
Your an idiot. Own up to your mistake. You can either just own up to it all and pay a few pennies. Or do sometime in jail for a false police report and insurance fraud.

All in all its up to you. But reguardless, your an idiot for wanting to do what you are suggesting. And like someone else said. YOU are the reason our insurance goes up.

So let me get this straight... You hit another car and just took off (hit and run) and then you come on here and ask if insurance fraud is a good idea? I am guessing common sense is not your strong point.

Well Im judging his character. He is a liar and worthless. Doesnt seem to find hit and run, insurance fraud, and police fraud to be a bad thing.

It's cool for all the jokes and point figures and laugh. However, if you was in the same situation you would want some advice as well. Since we are on the joking tip, I specifically stated that this was my first semi accident. Im guessing you guys didnt pay to much attention in reading class.

All in all....I was just asking some advice. Wasnt really looking to lie to the police, I just through that out there.

I can't vouch for anybody else on here... but if I were in a "semi accident" I would have pulled over and left a note for the other guy. I would not have just left the scene hoping that only my mirror was messed up. But instead, you run home and start thinking of ways to hide the truth like some 15 year old. I say you go ahead with the insurance fraud maybe you can sit in jail and learn how to be a decent person.

x2. You know you hit something and instead of doing the right thing by pulling over and checking out the damage on your vehicle and the other you just leave. Think how you would feel if you came out of your house or a store one day and saw that somebody side swiped your car and didn't leave a note or anything. The way you make it sound it seems like you did more damage than you thought. Way to be a negative part of society.

Something like this happened to me, someone rammed into the side of my bumper while i was working and left NOTHING. No name, adress, or telephone number, hell not even a sorry letter so I must feel for the person you hit.

Having insurance you would have only needed to file a report and pay your 500 deductable as opposed to the 1000 they are quoting you for. Hell it just makes RATIONAL sense, maybe i'm just a smartass 19 year old but ****, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what the right thing to do was.

I'll judge your character - you have NONE.
Even asking a question like that @ the age of 23 or 27 is insane.
My 15 year-old would know better.
Jeezus H.
That's why all of us pay too much for insurance.
Unreal.
Very disappointing.

jesus my insurance JUST went down..

id say fix it on your own, avoid insurance and the cops becuase lying to either will get you jail time, fines and other crap you dont need..

Go to a junk yard, scout the FS forum hopefully you wont have to pay for anything but parts and paint.. hell itll be cheaper if its painted off the car..

I would honestly just suck it up- You hit someone, ok accidents happen-- but you shouldn't have taken off-- anyway whats done is done, and everyone has already posted their opinion on claiming it on your insurance -- just pay for it out of pocket --

yes, please lie to ur insurance co & the police.. that is ALWAYS the right thing to do! btw I always encourage people to hit others property & flee the scene.. its just the right thing to do! (sarcasm btw)

plz dont be a moron! u r 1000000% @ fault & now u r not only @ fault for the accident but u also broke the law by leaving.. when stuff like this happens its not so much about ur property but other peoples property that u damaged.....

Why the hell would I leave a note when the guy was in the car? My goodness, a slight swipe on my side mirror...didn't think it could cause so much dam damage.

The comment from purple out tc.....I suppose your a perfect speller and person? Llolollool people will say anything to get some shine. Did that comment make you feel good and proud?

Anyway, lord knows I made a mistake. All I can do is learn from it. I should of stopped, but I thought it was a slight swipe from my side mirror. Plus, the guy didn't bother to track me down if it was that serious. May God bless all the people who are judging my character.
