Default SLAM IT!

We just put the Spy 2.25 springs on our flint Tc with the TRD anti roll bar on the race setting and a set of Axis mod 7's in 18" w/Nitto tires. Wow. GREAT set up, highly recommend all the above, the look is amazing, the ground effects kit really looks sharp now. Totally transformed the look and the handling of the car. We have a set of Spy 2" springs on our xb and xa and have no problems so far with 12,000 on one car and 6500 miles on the other. Get SLAMMED!

Hi Monstrous,
How about sharing some pics? I'd love to see what your tC looks like slammed. -Jayme

Man pics please!!

Did you replace the struts/shocks? Or are you running the factory shocks? I would think a drop of 2+ inches would really take its toll on the stock shocks.

slammed...ya, ok

bluebox has the goldline 2" on his tC and we were joking all night long about how stock it looked. You really need to cut some coils or something to give it a nice look cuz 2" isn't doing it.

Nobody will confuse this car with stock, even if they have never seen a Tc before, they will know it is dropped. As far as the shocks go, we placed the new springs over the stock struts, we will see how they hold up, on our xb the stock shocks got pretty sacked out after @4000-5000 miles, I expect the same on this car. However they are nice Showa units so the valving may take up the slack.

i would never slam my tC unless u're planning on scraping ur bottom on every speed bumps and drive ways... going lower than 2.5" is not recommended at all. For show ... yes it will look nice. For daily driving...think again. U'll lose the ride comfort, get more bounce from the road, and have camber issue. Unless u don't mind wearing out ur tires every year and not to mention messing up the alignment and even having dangerous ahesion/contact points (the lack thereof) from the road.

IMO - safety ,looks, and longevity of my tC is more important than being "slammed" ...only thing u'll be slamming is a tree while u lose control of ur car.

Also... many lowering their tC will prob be replacing the stock rims with larger 18 or 19" rims...which will definitely close the gap between the tire and fender/quarter panels. As of now, the 2" drop in the rear leaves almost no gap...my index finger barely fits in the gap with the stock 17" I can only imagine what 18" and 19" will look- which should look perfect with 2"drop.

I will post some pix in few weeks when the new GoldLines second prototypes are released. And also upon new larger rims...

From what i've seen with TC's with the TRD springs 1" drop. That Spy 2.25" drop setup must look hot. I also have to say POST PICS!

OK, sorry guys it took so long. Pics of our tC lowered with 2.25" Spy Springs and 18" Axis Mods. Can't really get a good look at the lip on the rear wheels. Much deeper dish though.

I would not recommend lowering more than 2.5" with 18's or 19's on there like BlueBox said.

Where do they stock these springs? I am interested in getting such a drop. Also is there any rubbbing when u use these springs? It looks like rubbing will occur pretty easily.

No rubbing at all with the 18's and the drop.
