Snow
yeah people do it because when the snow and ice come, then the wipers won't be frozen to the windshield. My problem with doing that, is what happens if the wind is too high and it slams the wiper down onto a frozen windshield.. oops! could crack it, if its cold enough 
so i take my chances of the rubber being frozen to the glass.. there's my explanation

yea dude that's crazy as hell. we're expected to get around the same i think. i was considering moving down south because of it, but now that i see that VA is getting killed with snow i think i might pick Cali hahaha
Dude I so remember that. i lived in Locust Grove (Orange county) then. School was closed for like 2 weeks. We went slidign down the roads on our butts cause they were so slick you didnt need a sled or tube.
It is crazy, really dont know what to do. If i was in a neighborhood I would have been alright but my driveway here is 1/4 mile long so I am kind of screwed.
