I just got mine done on Saturday. $150 for 20% all the way around.

Looks real nice, it adds to the car's looks IMO.

I had to pay extra b/c he didn't have the tC in the computer. I paid $155 for my xB at the same place for all windows and the eyebrow. He had to hand cut all my pieces. But it was worth it.

not sure where you all may be, but in Cali, tinting the front driver/pass. windows are illegal(anything darker than 45% is a fix it ticket, last I was told). and thats about the normal prices a lot of shops here charge for all the windows.

and Iridium, yea i'm lowered on TRD springs

thanks for the comments guys

Texas 35% up front is as dark as you can go and on the rear windows you can go as dark as you feel like.

If tinting the front windows is illegal and anything darker than 45% is illegal, why did you do it? And what shop would do that if it's breaking the law?

Because the shop is on private property, they can do the install. but of course its all me once I leave the premises. So I just have to keep an extra eye out, thats all.

Rear = 10%
Quarters = 10%
Sides = 25%
Front = None

Price = $185.oo

I have co-worker who had (semi-illegal, see below) 5% done all the way around (except in the front) for $170.oo on his Celica GTS.

My state has this loop-hole in the law...

(e)(1) A motorist shall be exempt from this section if the motorist is diagnosed by a physician as having a disease or disorder, including, but not limited to, albinism or lupus, for which the physician determines it is in the best interest of the motorist to be exempt from the requirements of this section. The motorist shall carry in his or her motor vehicle a physician's certification.

My co-worker found a Doctor to write him a note.

You might want to check your state's laws to see if they too have a similar loop-hole.

Got mine 50% to 35% for $220. I'd rather pay someone to do it super good than to do it crappy. And I would never do it myself even if I was a grandmaster of tinting.

I have 35 on the sides and 25 on the back... not too dark so I can see at night... The last car I owned had 5 on the back and was hard to see at night. I looked good though.

He informed me of the law (which is 30% in Nevada) and I politely asked for 20%. He said no problem.

Paying someone more money for something doesn't make it better. Almost all tint shops are the same, they use the same tint and they guarantee their work.

So my guy that charged $150 and I can almost guarantee used the same tint as yours did charged me $70 less than you and if I ever have any problems with it at all I take it back to him and he fixes it for free. I'm sure yours does that too. So what's the difference? My guy is eating Micky D's and yours is eating steak.

And if you were the grandmaster of tinting, why wouldn't you tint your own windows? Wouldn't you want it to be done by the best?? That's what you paid $220 for supposedly.

People, I think we're forgetting a few things here as far tint pricing goes: 1. The brand/type/material of the tint used affects the price 2. Different areas in the country have different market rates for an install (not all business have the same overhead, ya know?)

something to ponder before everybody jumps on someone for supposedly "paying too much" -- before you make an assumption, try to take into account different factors and variables...
