Now before you call me whipped, keep in mind that the '02 m3 was costing a leg and an arm and with gas prices how they are i ride my cbr600 more so..... ill ride it every now and then and atleast i get to pic the color as super white, which will look pretty sick when i get darker window tint and matte black rims.

For the sake of sanity, i have read the rules, but being how im connected to the internet via a moto razr on a crusty dell laptop, i wanted to know what you guys thought of some mods to the basic trim like:

led tails - the dealer has them for $375, are there any non-ricey looking ones that are sold by a sponsor?

audio - is the pioneer premium audio system necessary if later i plan on putting a touchscreen lcd to play dvds in that spot?

Sorry for the noob-like questions, i haven't read around the forums enough, and the search feature just doesnt seem to work for me when i type vague terms like "led tails hold the rice" Thanks for the opinions guys!!

 

Theres only one aftermarket tails that I kinda like for the tC and they are the anzo's.

Dont buy the upgraded system if your going to add your own system later, waste of cash. far as LED tails im not sure about any sponosors selling any, but if i were you unless you REALLY like the ones from the dealer, i wouldnt upgrade...id just save the cash and order some ones that you like for sure later on...dont spend money unless your SURE u want it...and your SURE u wont upgrade it later.. thats just my opinion.

 

ANY item that the dealer offers you can find cheaper online, there are multiple sites that sell cheaper. Plus i would look around in here to see what ideas people have done and see how you like it before you overpay the dealer.

 

http://www.fastscions.com/ they have a wide selection of tail lights for a low cost and i don't trust ebay when it comes to lights cause they burn quickly.

 

Plus there are many people, Myself included that would love to buy the stock tails from you after you replace them with aftermarket. If you buy tails from the dealer they usually keep your stockers.

 

yeah i dont mean to offend anyone, but some of the tails i've seen look way to ricey, even tho it is a japanese car. but the info you guys gave me is definetly helpful, i appreciate it

 

If you want the tyc tails (the ones from the dealer) you will be better off buying them from trdsparks (best prices on dealer's items) and here is a link to a thread with the different types of tails: Post Pics of Your Tails. My personal favourite mod for tails is TYC tails painted red :

 

Those red TYCs look hot. I like the LEDs, but I have SSM and never though the taillights looked good with that color, I might have to try that out.

 

between the above post and mine i don't know of any other LED tails. But a def. x2 on not getting them from the dealer. And you want the ones that they have, but can't find them buy them, but if they charge for install on top of that don't get them installed there; just buy the tails and call it a day. you can sell the stockers later on after installing the a.m. ones. and if you do have the dealer install yours, ASK FOR YOUR STOCKERS BACK!!!! if you don't they'll keep them, but you'll get no credit for them. and even if they give you credit, i'm sure it won't be for the full retail of them.

do you have pics of the ones that the dealer you're talking about has?? i'm betting they are the TYCs though, in which case you can find a number of things that people on here have done as far as tinting/painting theirs.
