So I want to paint my calipers.

shouldn't be too hard. take em off, clean em up, sand em down, prime, paint. dont gum up any moving parts. make sure they work before you hit a freeway...
But don't say I told you so, the only car parts I've painted are on the models sitting above me desk...

well if you wanna go that far, it would be better to get some bembros or wilwords that are already painted red with cross drilled roters but thats like the 1200 doller option to red calipers

I got a kit from Checkers (or whatever its called wherever you are) for around $20. That's the only mod I wanted to do to my car -- Silver tC with red brake calipurs. Of course there are a lot of tempting options emerging...

Definately take your time, and wire brush the calipers--make sure they are CLEAN as a whistle before you paint them.
I'd also advise against any of the lighter colors of paint--since brake dust sticks to ANYTHING. Also, after you paint them, be careful to ONLY use rim cleaner that says 'Safe for Painted Rims' on it, or your paint will start to flake off.
Of course, you should be doing that anyway if you have painted rims.
