stock blocks can take a lot of power, i've seen quite a few quick 335's come into bmw. a friend of mine has a 33xi coupe with stage 2 i believe vishnu tune with a 75 shot of nitrous haha.

bmw auto trans. are known to be one of the best in the world.

Seriously the tech's are terrible with the cars. I've worked at alot of dealerships and all the techs treat the cars terrible.

When you get your oil changed and such, tell them there is NO need for the tech's to take your car for a ride to check and make sure of anything. They are doing an oil change not diagnosing a problem.

If i've seen techs beat the crap out of Vibe's and corollas, I can just imagine what they'd do to a bimmer with actual *****.

Anyway interior looks good, but your wood is still showing. Har

i think your statement is false as anything as far as techs messing with bmw's

MOST bmw techs where i work are actually really good and talented techs. you'd be surprised.

maybe with your experience but my experience at bmw, techs treat the cars very well, just as long as customers treat the techs well.

i've seen some customers get mad at techs for fixing things they didn't have to fix.

I have had no problem with the techs as i know them personally, i have had some bad experience with the porters, not saying you guys are bad, just saying there are some bad porters in general

I started at dealerships as a service porter and I myself tooled around with a couple of the quick cars, but as far as going off the lot porters get in ALOT of trouble, more than just being fired, so we never did that.

Techs would take customer cars to lunch, for joyrides, etc. Glad you know your techs though, thats a huge plus

oh okay as far as scions that will never be the case, stock for stock or even mod for mod.

bmw's if its SMG vs. MANUAL then okay but if its regular automatic vs. manual then NO.

if you want to beat on a bmw, then take out a loaner =p

SMG meaning sequential manual gear box which is basically a single clutched automatic, the M series comes with them and you can get certain 3 and 5 series with them as an option. does not even compare to a regular automatic, you drive just like you do with a manual just no clutch pedal. you can't just slam on the gas and go, if you do, car won't budge, you have to ease the gas in.

its weird but you'll get the flow if you ever drive one, i valet at bmw so i get to drive any and every bmw you can imagine.

do you mean the DKG?

SMG = sequential manual gearbox

bmw has DKG and Steptronic. DKG is on the m3 and is the double clutch thing whereas the steptronic is what i have. both are faster than the manual hahaha. the autos in the bimmers are truely amazing

i know it is, but even so, i'm pretty sure SMG was the auto-trans that was clutched in the M's and option for certain 5 and 3 series. DKG = SMG?
