...dear Penthouse...where can I get a tC hood in BSP?

27.5 MPG isn't really that bad.

CRAZY people out there!
you lucky you didn;t get involved in a severe accident.
FIRST if you had your eyes on the road, you could easily avoid that piece of metal or whatever!
you learned a lesson

yea, some unnecessary stuff there. you could've left that part out or subsitute or lied about that part. it really didn't contribute to the story. anyways, the tc is only rated at 30 or 31 mpg/hwy so to think you got 27.5 is not bad at all, especially if you were going 80-85 at 3600rpm. anyways, good luck.

yeah, your getting pretty good mileage actually, i go through it pretty fast, but i suppose my avg speed of 100+ mph is to blame for that.

one of the rules you agreed to was family friendly content.

next, don't allow anything to impair your ability to drive. drugs, alcohol, sleep deprivation or your passenger also driving stick.

welcome to the forum and tough break on your hood. i'd have to say that finding a salvaged hood in better condition isn't likely cause alot of totalled tc's have lots of front end damage. guess you'll just have to get a carbon fiber one...oh well...

WOW... a lot of responses already... sorry for the detailed information, just thought it would be good conversation, and as it was also kinda of a vital part of the story, because maybe if I was not in a day dream, I could probably have reacted to the thing on the road, and completely not have to fork over money for a new hood or so... any ways... thanks for all the cool replys... and BTW... I drove Hondas all my life... so coming from an average of 30+ MPG in a car... its a lot different...

Thanks guys...

P.S. if you guys have a hood (black sand pearl) or have any ideas on getting a good respray or any information on Scion paint jobs matching to exact colors... it would greatly be appreciated... and I know (Use the search button ;))

Insurance for a minor damage doesn;t worth it.

27.5 MPG is not bad. I will not get mad is I get 27.5 MPG. I get like freaking 18 MPG. I'm the one that should be mad and I have to use 91 and up. A 2006 stock tC gas rating was like 23 MPG. I guess the 2007 tCs get better gas mileage.

i calculated that i get about 17 mpg on my way to frostburg when i am maintaining a speed of 90 to 110 or more mph.

i would kill for 27 mpg, for me it is easier than slowing down!

I got an average of 24 mpg on my weekend trip back and forth to Carbondale IL, but that was going an average of 100 mph at least.

I am guessing someone else is mad because the car gets the exact mileage that the big sticker said it would ?
