Is it that big of a deal if, when you mod to HID, you don't cover up the squirrel finders?

The car is a month old. The idea of plopping the new headlights in my oven doesn't sit well with me.

u dont need to bake open the 08's just to get to the tab that u need to bend to eliminate the squirrel finder...

i if u look into the hole for the bulb, u will see the tab...

 

take the bulb out and you will see the metal flap/tab and the squirrel spotter hole underneath it. Use a screwdriver and bend the flap down to cover the hole.... DONE!

I haven't had any experience with umnitzas kits but the digital ones seem nice and have a 2 year warranty

Why would you want to get rid of it? When I had my 08 headlights, those helped see road sigs from far away, and it's way too dim to actually bother other drivers, even with HIDs. I had mine for over a year, not one single flash.

 

because of glare. but you are right. it does affect the ability to see signs up high.

 

there really isnt to much glare with the projectors anyways...
i dont think its neccessary at all
