1. i got my car back from the dealer from some rattle problems i have, and when i was driving it back, when i rev it over 3k the car just jerks and the rev drops to 1.5k, it happened twice, at first i thought i let go of the clutch too fast when i was shifting, but second time i notice that i wasn't shifting at all, i was just accelerating the car and suddenly the drop of rev, and the feeling of jerking as if i was downshifting. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?


2. when i am in 1st gear like driving real slowly in the parking lot looking for a space, and if i step on the clutch too fast it will make is thud noise, but if i step on the clutch slowly it won't make that noise. Is that normal?

There is a rev limiter that should only kick in when the car is in neutral...keeps you from redlining when there is no load on the engine. This devoce should not be actuating when you have the car in gear and are driving though. Strange.

 

i was in gear, and i believe i was in either 2nd or 3rd when that happened, and i still have like a gallon of gas left..i don't know if my gas level has ne thing to do with it.

From what I understand, it limits the car to a certain RPM level like 2 or 3k.

 

Are you serious??? If you were low on gas, which I am assumming since you said you still had ~ a gallon left, then hell yes that had something to do with it! You were so low on gas, the engine was stalling out. Hint: you should fill up with gas *before* the reserve light comes on, not when it's been on for 35 miles.

Wow.. just wow.. I guess some ppl only think that you have to hit R on the gauge to Refuel up.

Part of me feels bad for laying into someone, but at the same time, you can only tell so many people to use common sense before it starts to just frustrate you. There can't be that many stupid people out there, can there?

i know what you mean about the thud noise in first gear when you let it in at a higher rpm. it's normal, it'll do that for a month or so, untill you break in the clutch some more

How can you tell exactly how much gas you have left in your TC? I haven't seen that feature on mine yet.

 

when you said thud, you mean your car jerks on 1st gear??? 1st gear helps the car move enough to get on 2nd, like 10mph then shift...

 

Do you understand that when you run your car to empty, you still have about 1-1.5 gallons of gas in your tank. So YOU ARE OUT OF GAS when you are that low in your tank. You shouldn't be running that low on fuel either not good on the fuel system.

Now try this, keep your fuel at a min of 1/4 tank or more. See if you still have that problem. Then that will have eliminate the possibility of the fuel level that you been running at.

Well I mean he posted about the problem on the 22 its now the 31 if he aint fixed it or taken it to the dealer hes got issues....
