Default Someone Copied Me!

I work in a company with thousands of people. Its a huge parking lot (hundreds of parking spots for my building) and I have had the reputation of being the only person who has a Scion in the company. When I meet new people, they say things like "oh...your the guy with the scion in the parking lot". I knew it wouldnt last, but it was kinda cool to be special.

Long story short, I walked out to my car during lunch time today, and saw a silver (same color as mine) tC parked right next to me.

The guy had to park it right next to me just to rub it in some more lol.

(PS - Did i mention the parking lot is HUGE? Like a mall parking lot?)

Note: This is not a venting post, just sharing my scion story for the day

It's gonna happen and there is nothing you can do about it . I'm used to it.

I'm still the only Scion tC owner in my town......there aren't any xA's and one xB.....considering there are only about 8,000 ppl here.....it doesn't surprise me...

Hehe..yeah, I currently have to only Scion where I work too. I work for a hospital with about 900 employees. We have a big parking garage that I park in as well as a few outdoor parking lots around the building that employees can use. As far as I can tell, my xA is the only Scion here. I don't expect it to stay that way for long, but I'm enjoying it for now.

I know how you feel. When I was thinking of ordering the tC, I saw one tC at an intersection. Soon after I ordered it, I started seeing a FM tC regularly on the south side of town. Now that it's a week or so before I'm supposed to get it, there's someone in the parking lot for my apartment complex that has a SSM tC! I checked their parking pass, though, and it looks like they're probably/hopefully just visiting. They must've had some great connections, too, cuz judging from the month on their inspection sticker, they got it a bit early.

I can beat that. I see no tCs on the road. Then in Sept, I come to work and see TWO other FM side by side in the parking lot. So of course, I had to park next to them to make a threesome (so to speak).

Small world I guess.

The fame was cool while it lasted. In this parking lot Ive actually had a person come knock on my window to tell me how nice my car is. And Ive had at least 2 people refer to me as the Scion guy. I dont even know these 2 people keep in mind.

Yeah it sucks. I guess I will just have to learn how to share the spotlight with this copy cat tC. But if a third tC invades my territory, Im gonna have to open up a can of whoop ___!

I'm living in the lime light for now. I've only seen a few here in SE MI. It's only a mater of time till the streets are flooded with tCs.

I know the feeling. Its just like mods, you think you are the originator and then someone else has the same idea. Its no use worrying about it.

At least the owner has the same taste as you.

Understandable on how you feel. But hey, at least we're all family...Scion wise.
I've seen 4 other 2tone's in my area, and 1 of them is the exact same. Just gotta brush it off.

At least you knew you had it first. Thats what I say.

I always park next to other Scions if it is available. it's liek a sense of community.

If you want to drive a car no one else has, you're going to have to spend a LOT more than 16K... I saw a Maserati this morning, also saw two almost identical AMG Benz's... You think you were ____ed...

Still trying to figure out if it's a guy or a chick - the other 2 I saw were driven by guys.

same thing happened to me at school. i got a bsp tc and was on my way to school and i see another bsp parked IN MY USUAL SPOT!! Eh i was mad for a few seconds but then i realized i would probably do the same thing . Best way to make sure that doesnt happen is to get out and spend a lot of money for mods to ur car!

at first i was upset to see other fm tC's showing up, i mean i never saw them and then a couple weeks back i saw like 4 in one day. i live in a really rich area, where my annual income doesnt even compare to most of the population so just about anyone can drop 16k cash for a car their kids would like. Im kinda liking it though.... the more i meet these kids and talk about future mods and the likes and disslikes.... were like a group of people that are special now, not just flying solo. Im thinking about making a scion club at school and trying to pick up sponsors.

easy fix...
time to start modding your car -- and make sure not to tell him what you have, or run the risk of copying
