Someone damaged my rear bumper
Looks like all it needs is a bit of paint, your lucky the bumper didn't crack. If you don't feel like attempting it yourself, a paint shop could probably fix it for $100-$150. It sucks, but it could have been a lot worse if it cracked. Lol wash your car more dude.

Just $100-150? I thought it would be a lot more! My car got almost the same damaged from parking lot!
I got even less damage than that and It's going to cost 423 dollars to fix.
They're pulling the bumper and fixing whats wrong and respraying it so theirs no differences in color anywhere. 3 hours of labor for the prep work, 3.6 for the paint, then materials and such. The guy who hit me gets to pay for it though.
Good luck with yours.

When my celica got rear-ended, the damage wasn't expensive looking, but with most repairs to the bumper cover, the bumper has to be taken off, then repaired, sanded, painted and clear coated, then re-installed on the car..Depending on the shop, I would guess you are looking at $300-$500, to have it done right..
Got mine fixed as well cost me about 406 dollars at the body shop, they took off the bumper and resprayed the whole thing for an even color match, 100-150 is cutting it a little low.

The car that parks next to me was back this morning - and what do you know, it has a scrape in their front bumper about the same height as the scrape on mine.
Insurance company called, photos taken.

Here is his front bumper:

Notice the similarities?
That sucks, Steve. Good luck with the insurance companies. I hope everything works out for ya.
When my car was about 2 months old it got hit and run in front of my office by someone's trailer hitch.

I have a $1000 deductible, so I didn't do anything about it for a while.
Then a month or so ago, a six year old kid on a bike pulled up alongside my car as I was leaving work. He leaned his bike on my car, stood on it, and started hitting me and climbing through my window grabbing at the steering wheel and horn. When I got out, this is what his bike had done to my poor car:

It doesn't look that bad in the pictures, but it was a 2ft curved gash through the paint on the door that continued onto the side skirt and two horizontal scrapes on the door.
It cost $600 to get everything fixed. The kid's parents paid the $272.50 for the damage to my driver's side.

Another update:
I called the police who came over and looked at my damage. Unfortunately the other car wasn't here, but describing the circumstances and the damage to her car, the officer seemed pretty sure it was their car - and even ran the plates for me.
Now I know what apartment they live in, and their first name (but not last.)
They have a note on their door.
