psst.. ask them if it could be bodyflex related
cuz if it is, maybe you could get it done for free by toyota.. tho only a select few have had that much luck

Is that body flez thing common? I mean, common enough that the dealer will recognize it as an issue? I made an appointment at the toyota dealership for an estimate on monday.
here's the most recent thread that i know about:

as you can see more than a handful of ppl have had this mystery dent appear. yours is pretty prominent, tho.
and a couple were able to get it fixed by their dealer for free, but it eventually came back. check page 4 of the above mentioned thread for info on that.
so it's common.. BUT.. i guess if it's not a "bulletin" toyota/scion may not recognize it as a common issue

yeah i will ask about it when i go. i drove around a little yesterday and took some tight corners just to see if the dent would change and it seems to have gone away some. its definitely not as big as before.
pics later.

After seeing about 12 people with the exact same dent, I think it's safe to say that bodyflex is the culprit. I highly doubt that someone is travelling the country, denting tCs, and leaving all the other cars alone.
Heh. You think that is bad. I have a physical upwards bend in my bumper (bought it with that). Someone apparently hit it, but the bumper returned to it's normal shape (minus a pair of dents where the license plate was screwed in).
Every shop has told me it's unfixable. They have to replace the entire bumper...

lol silver streaktc. You better be asian or that would kind of seem offensive. LOL Well you guys saying cold/hot method doesnt work or dry ice trick, did you really try it? I wanna see if it works, and if it doenst it wont leave anything negative behind right? i mightaswell try, if not has anything tried dentout products?http://www.dentout.net/catalog/DIYpages/t100.htm
I've got a dent in the same place. It seems that ridge in the bodywork is just at the right height for an SUV door to open on it. I now park at the other end of the parking lot and walk a little further.
hmm thats wat i thought at first, or maybe some bia.. that dint like me or something.. but there is a thread on the body flex... alot of ppl r getting the same dent. Though you are right, it is the exact spot an suv culd dent, but if some guy really opened their door hard enough to dent our cars, wuldnt it leave a lil paint scuff? or a lil rough sport where the door hit? my paint is smooth as f*ckk. either it happened on its own or some1 used a softass rubber mallet or something.
