settle down ladies and gents!

noshirO take pictures of the damage

if its not deeply scratched you can just apply touch up paint

or just put a bumper sticker!

*Warning Frequent Backing Up*

If the mark is that long it is more than likely too deep to buff out. I think you'll have to repaint it or at least bring it to a shop to TRY to buff it out. There are no other alternatives if you want the car to look like its supposed to.

it's just on the bumper i'm assuming... so there's no worry about rust. just pick up some touch up paint sometime and do a careful touch up job. i suggest a paint pen lik eone from www.autovisuals.com since their paint is very good and the pen is much easier than a brush.

these things are bond to happen. don't get so caught up over it, there's no way that you can ever protect a car from everything. just deal, and hopefully from now on you'll be much more aware of your surroundings... i've had ____ happen to me as well so i know.

Hey NoShiO, don't tell me this is your first car. Learn to drive your moms ride first before you mess up yours.

this is what the forum is becoming, ppl asking for help and not getting an answer, instead getting flamed all over.. please do know that there are us newbie out there that aren't mechanics or are totally new to these kind of issues (the tC are designed for young ppl?).

So instead of a useless post.. why not try to help the guy out? Anyways.. mine is also a useless post... but just couldn't stand seeing all these threads with nonsense..

RANT OVER.

my bad i didnt mean to bash the guy try taking it to a local mechanic and see wat he says the cost would be.. the dealer where u bought it from might have a cheaper price for u... if its as small as you say i dont think the repair would be over $100 tops

And people looked at me funny because I said the tC "enthusiasts" on Scion Life are _______s...

If the scratch is on the bumper (plastic)...and the plastic is scratched...you can either get it sanded, bondo'd, and repainted, you can just leave it alone, or touch it up. If it's on metal, and you see metal, get it looked at right away. You don't want rust to start forming. If you see black (primer), you can just get it touched up... If there is a dent, get it looked at by a dent specialist.

I was going to post what I was going to say, but reading this, it's basically exactly what I would say.. do what he says.

...Yea Thanks...
That scratch ended up starting my bad day.. Real bad day...

It is my first car.. I did drive my mom Sequioa for 2 months... on and off with my aunts Rav 4...

But your saying if you can see black (primer) i can touch it up...

I called the dealer yesterday and they said they had a touchup kit...

I dono if all scion owners get one when they purchase one...
but the way he was stating the touchup kit was supposed to be given to everyone...
Edwin Nunez says " Well you didnt get a touchup kit when you left here"
I said "no!"

SO i might have to drive back down to the dealer (45 mins) away and get one either free or pay for it... because they dont fedex/ups/usp that kinda stuff out...

but thanks anyway.. if worse comes to worse... ill go somewhere else..
