Got my TC about a month ago...
Parked it ouside my friends house, went out to get cigarettes out of it.

And there was a HUGE dent in the drivers side door, and no mirror...

1,453 dollars in damage. I have to pay for 1,000 of it. Possibly the worst feeling of my life. To see my beautiful car, all dented up, for something I didn't even do...

I will never find who did it, which makes it even worse, because i'm stuck with the bill.

Yea...when my car got scratched I lost all feeling for it but it eventually comes back and you want to mod again

 

Yeah, It's getting fixed on Monday :-)... Did you know a side mirror is almost as much as a door panel.

side mirror only costs $150 painted. i bought it off trdsparks when i had a hit and run, it really doesn't cost that much...i feel like you're being ripped off. i bought it and had it fast and install only took me 5 minutes, easiest install ever. go check it out in case you wanted to save some money. dent you could probably just go to some paintless dent removal done and it'll cost you like $100 depending on how much and where the dent is located. try seeing if this would be a better option. the mirrors themselves only cost i think like $230 even retail price, these are from toyota themselves and painted from factory. trdsparks sells them for $140 + shipping. here's a link to the left side one in azure for you, if you need the right one just do a quick search, it's there.

There is no way in hell that the dent can be removed. they took out a good amount of paint, and the dent is about 1 1/2 inches deep into the door panel. Its on the door panel crease too so it would be be a _____ to pop out. Had two or three people say it would be more work to pop out, and it would be noticible because the paint is scraped badly.


The mirror however, is a good deal. To bad insurance is already made the claim and is at least paying part of it... Too late now. Might buy one just to keep around

Yes, it will be back, but its depressing right now..

If i ever find the person that did this... They are getting a firm pimp hand.
