Default Someone stole my antenna!

Some ___ face stole my antenna at the mall's parking lot I usually listen to CD's but I decided to listen to FM stations and it wasn't working. I looked out the back window and it was gone! I didn't know it was as easy as just unscrewing it off. What they hell would someone want to do with a tC antenna anyway?

How can I get a replacement? How much would it cost? Anyone know any good replacements that I can use for my tC that will give me good reception? Do you think the dealership will give me one under warranty? If I say it fell off or something like that? ha..

Thanks.

I'll second that. It sucks to get your antenna stolen, but it's probably a 20-30 dollar part, causes no permanent damage and is really easy to restore to stock, unless by stolen you mean they ripped the thing out without unscrewing it. On the bright side, if you want an aftermarket stubby one or something, now's your chance. I personally think they look stupid and I bet the bigger stock one gets better reception, but there might be something out there that gets even better reception than stock - maybe check crutchfield?

I read in here somewhere that a Honda S2000 antenna works and looks sweet of the tC. May be able to buy it online somewhere

I just put some blue threadlock on the threads. The antenna cannot be removed with just your hands.....you'll need some pliers to remove it (with some cloth wrapped around the antenna to protect it).

Correct. You can see it in this pic:

Others on the board have the same antenna (and better pics.)

are these two antenna's identical? how hard is the installation of these antenna's? do i need a base or do i just screw it in and thats it?

how good is the reception? better/same/or worse than OEM antenna?

are there any other options? anyone have this one:

No, they're not the same. Installation is as easy as unscrewing the old antenna and screwing on the new one. The S2000 antenna screws into the standard base on the tC. With the S2000 antenna, reception is the same as my stock antenna. I have heard that the really short aluminum ones from eBay have poor reception. The second one you linked to looks ok, but why not just buy a real S2000 antenna?

ok I guess I will go with the Honda S2000 replacement antenna. I really have no clue about antenna's. But I do want a decent looking one that gets really good reception.

Has anyone bought the 1.2" Inovenda Carantenna antennas off of eBay? How well do they work?
