I just bought a bone stock 1994 n/a toyota supra with 174k miles on it on saturday. I plan on rebuilding the motor so its basically brand new and going single turbo with it to produce some good power.

I still have the tC, Im torn between keeping the tc as a Daily driver and slowly start doing everything i want to do to the supra for a weekend/project car, or sell the tC and put all the money into the supra and daily drive that. I didnt think getting rid of the tC would be that hard, but when you have had it for almost 4 years since it was new, only put 37k miles on it, babied it, and have done all the work on it yourself you get attached to it. So Idk what im going to do yet.

thanks, the motor is actualy in great condition with no problems or anything. It just concerns me about boosting a motor with 174k miles on it. I know i could but Idk how reliable it would be. So im wanting to do it right. I was thinking about putting a brand new 2jzgte short block in with the 2jzge head for the re-build

 

Supra GL with it

 

I got it for 8k, its amazing how well the car was taken car of. The guy i bought it from kept it in a garage at work and at home. He also used seat covers and used rubber mats instead of the stock ones. The backseat was only sat in once in 7 years. He was an honest guy to. He said he just wanted the kbb for the car. I was the first person to contact him about it and he had people contact him after me offering him 14k for it and he wouldnt take it cause i had dibs on it for 8k.

Yup he should, that's why I'm not going to try to attempt at any kind of project cars really until I can financially do it and keep the tc or another car for daily driving.

Ive decided im keeping both cars, keep the supra as a project car and the tc as a DD. Ill slowly do the supra and keep the miles from going too high. I will probably do intake and exhaust though soon just to free up some hp and give it some sound.

 

or you could sell the tc and ill take those EVO5 rims off your hands.
