Has anyone seen the commercial for those "pulse plugs" which are supposedly 20,000 times better than spark plugs?

Do you need to change your spark plugs at 32,000 miles?

they're good for 100,000 miles.

when I was new into cars, I'd change my plugs every 10,000 miles. total waste of money. i was a total ricer too

That the popular misconception. They will work for 100,000, but you will start losing performance long before that. I would replace around 40k.

Denso or NGK Iridium (stock) are the best way to go.

Yeah, I know someone who bought them. $25 a plug. Couldn't tell much of a difference. Not worth the money.

It looks like the tC would use the BE-1 model, which go for about $24.95/each. 7-10% horsepower/torque increase, and a 2.7% improvement with fuel economy. This is all coming from legitimate reviews as well.

The only way to really find out is...Buy them them, dyno your car. Then let us know what you get. Most of the PR from this company is published as a paid advertisement.

The math doesn't add up. 1 million watts??? Why. You still have the same fuel/air mixture.

Dunno if they are any good or not. I saw the TV commercial and it shows some kind of side-by-side comparison with spark plugs and pulse plugs. Of course, they portray the pulse plugs as being much more efficient, but I don't know.

The Bosch +4's are total crap on an import. I would return them from where you bought them and get some denso iridiums, or some Ngk iridium's. Doesn't our valve cover also say that we must run IRIDIUMS? Bosch +4 are only platinum.

^^Agreed! Do not use the Bosch +4 they are complete garbage! I have used them in the past on a civic and I got poor perfomance from them compared to the stock Denso's that was in the car! They don't burn even across all four tips to start with, I took them out and put NGK's in and it made a world of difference. I know several people who also used the Bosch and had same complaints with them!

agreed, don't use bosch +4's. You all do realize how ridiculous you sound when you say "let's dyno the spark plugs" The function of a spark plug is to do just that, spark the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder. You will FEEL NOTHING for performance regardless of which ones you use. It's all about which plugs are the most EFFICIENT for our cars, that's where you get into the issue of which ones are better.

Agreed, +4 are the worst plugs you can buy. Your stock plugs are IFR sereis NGK iridium plugs made for the oem and are long life. You should be able to get 80K miles out of them easy. If you are upping the performance on a major scale, then look at changing the plugs to a denso or NGK iridium and choose the heatrange per the increase in power / how lean or rich your car is running.

Personally I have always used a very basic copper plug, I found that although they don't last NEARLY as long they perform better. This was the case with my Silvia S12, Toyota MR2 and Honda Civic.

CAUTION: Pulstar model recommendations are for stock, unmodified engines. If you have added an aftermarket turbocharger, supercharger, nitrous or any other product that increases displacement or compression to your engine you will require a colder heat range pulse plug in order to avoid possible damage to your engine.
just a little info i found on their website
