hhhmmm. i have the pedestal spoiler with the full rs1 lip kit and the pedestal doesn't go with it IMO. i think it would look better without any spoiler. but if u had to have one i would go with the lip spoiler.

Does a Spoiler actually add horsepower?

i always heard that they help keep the car lower to the ground and would then add more traction, but since the tc is front wheel drive what kind of difference should i look for.
I just bought a pedastel spoiler btw.

That was a joke. There are 2 ways and 2 ways only to increase horsepower: Burn more air, or burn more fuel. (it's arugable that a 3rd way is to burn more of both, but I think we get the idea).

Despite anything else you read, or any claim they throw out, you need to ask yourself this question: how is this going to allow me to burn more air/fuel? Is it by cramming more in (forced induction)? or is it by making things more efficient (intake/exhaust upgrades).

And FYI: spoilers are 99% decorative and serve little to no good on 99% of all cars out there except enhance (or diminish) appearance. The aerodynamics don't start to make a hill of beans difference until the speedo reaches around 110.

I think the Pedestal spoiler looks great if the car is lowerered and has the OEM kit as well. Otherwise, I say go Lip.. I'm still not sure with which one i'm going for.. I'm going to have to see what I think of my car after it's lowered.

agree with Diversion. I am trd lowered factory lip kit and pedestal spoiler looks great IMO. And looking out the back window, youre view really isnt obstructed at all.

Its a FWD CAR, what do you need a trunk spoiler for? spend the XXX amount of dollars on the sway bar or get the engine damper. But if your hearts set on a trunk mounted spoiler, get the lip. It dosent look like you just got out of watching Fast and the Furious. (No offense to you who own the pedistal)
