Spoiler dimensions for fitment on another car.
all right i think this is my fist post but im not sure as i became a member way back when i was looking for a car 1.5 years ago because i wanted an xb but i got a Grand Am and am now a member on those forums. Well a buddy of mine and i are going to be putting a TC spoiler like this one (idk if there are different ones or not but this is the one he wants) http://www.spoilerdepot.com/images/i...oiler-3665.jpg on his 2001 Grand Am. What we ask of you is he hasn't found one yet localy so we cant measure to see what kind of work is needed. We figure just some shaving of the posts to fit the curvature of the trunk will be needed.
So if you could be so kind as to bust out a tape measure and measure the total length, the height (trunk lid in the middle to the bottom of the spoiler will do just fine) the distance between the posts and the length and width of the posts. You dont have to be exact as it is hard to measure that on the car but approximate sizes will do within about 1/2"-1".
Thank you for your help in advance and i will make sure to get a pic or two after this happens as long as it does. We are keeping our eyes on local Junk Yards as that is what Grand Am owners do because most of our parts come from there for our cars but not many TCs end up there. So if anyone is selling one or if you can provide a reasonable price for one that would also be great as he is looking at ebay but because paint doesn't matter because it will be repainted a used one will suffice. Sorry about the long post and again thank you for any help.
