Default Stafford Fabrication turbo kit for XB / tc?

well many of you have seen the drama that surrunded the turbo system i developed for the xb .Well now that that is all in the past and i have a contract with the new owners of the kit this can't happen agian and i'll have dyno # and jigs to reprpduce the kit by september 10th. i have been in contact with alblackxb and he said the kit is working perfect w/ no problems. that makes over 6 months and to cars and even a different shop than the builder do an install. So i'm going to give the proto type a clean bill of health after the dyno's and will then be offering the kit to the general public.
Sorry for all the delays and sorry for all the drama.the members of this forum should not have to view that kinda crap.hopefully in the end it will have been worth the hassel for some of you.

oh yea i almost forgot someone offerd me a new TC to make a turbo kit off of is there any real intrest in that or is it going to be a waste of time and money

Mike, I'd like to see some good testing of the kit before its actually released for sale. I think dyno numbers, a complete part listing, and an installation manual with pictures would be very beneficial for your customers.

i think the tC is the prime target for a good working turbo. even though things were said by different members on the board, people purchasing the kit will come down to reliability.

The T25 is the POS they use in the stock 1995-1999 Turbo Mitsubishi Eclipse.

ok, wait, sorry, still don't know....is the 25 the size of the turbine? would that make it slightly smaller than a t3?

I still say it's the same turbo unless you prove me wrong with side by side pictures I had a 2nd gen eclipse and it is a T25 turbo on there.

2nd generation DSM's had a Garrett T25... 1st generation DSM's had a Mitsubishi TD04-14b... It's common among the 2nd gen DSM'ers to swap the TD04-14b in place of the stock Garrett T25... this doesn't mean that the T25 is a bad turbo... often it's used beyond it's efficiency limits in a motor such as the 4g63 -- a 2L engine pressing the limits around 14psi stock if I remember correctly???

At any rate, I use a T20 on my scion -- boosts pretty decent @ 7psi... remember, the volumetrics of this engine...

yea you guys gotta remeber that the the Dsms run 14 psi stock ( i think) and the T25 isnt efficent beyond 15 psi on a motor of that size... So the dsmmers out there that say that turbo sucks are the ones trying to run 20 psi of of a stock trim t25.....

Mitsu. motors was being cheap and gave the buyer a qiuck spool no top end motors because of their choice of turbos....

the t25 is a great turbo for the xB and wouldnt be to shabby for the tC (stage kits please!!)

the 14b is a td05, i have a 3000gt vr4 that has 9b's on it and they are td04's. if the 14b was a td04 it would be smaller than the t25 which is a td05. i also think the t25 would be a good safe turbo to use on the 1.5, good spoolup and not too big. we run enough compression we don't need all the cfm's of the bigger turbos. we're not fixing to bolt on like 100 plus hp with this kit, though that would be awesome.

I'm not gonna argue with you.It does not matter who built the system . I'm talking about the turbo used, and if it's a T25 it's a Garrett turbo which is the same unit used in the 2nd Gen Eclipse. Nuff said
