Default Starting your tC

When i first got my tC about 2 weeks ago it would take a couple seconds before the engine would start. Its been a little over two weeks now and is broken in and i don't have this problem anymore. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced the same problem and wanted to know if it is normal and what causes it.

Thanks in advance.

Mine would do the same thing. The car would jump a bit, then start. Now it just starts. It's probably part of the breaking in process.

I didnt pay attention...i was just happy to have a car that started. I went through 4 starters in my old cavalier POS..one day go to start the car WONT START or you will just hear the whining noise but nothing catching!! time to get another starter...i am just happy to have a reliable car now.

mine seems to start a little rough. The whole car shakes a bit, but once it starts it runs smooth.

On the first few days I had my tC, when I'd start my car, it would idle pretty high then slowly drop down to 1k and under. Weeks later, it no longer does it, so I'm assuming it's just a part of the break in period.

its amazing how many people think that a car automagically starts the second you turn to crank....

how many posts does this make, about starting a tC? just be glad that the thing starts. people should worry about a shorter 0-60 time, instead of a shorter crank time. unless you count from crank-60 as your times..

not the second you turn the crank, but i've always started my car just fine. but recently, seems like it stalls for a second, then the needle jumps up.... i was wondering if something was wrong too.

yeah my car had two miles on it, got in to start it at the dealership, and I thought it wasn't going to start, the more miles I put on it, the faster it turns over, basically the stater is new, and turning over a new motor with good compression.
