Just checked out a post about static attracting dust...while i was checking it out...a thought came to mind....

many times my car and other ppl's car shock me... i would guess its static electricity....
how do i keep myself from getting this jolt?

 

Wear gloves

leather interior works great. just make sure to touch the car as you get in and out to ground yourself. the spark comes from your clothes rubbing the seat fabric and then you hold a charge until you touch something.

it really isn't a big deal unless you make a spark while filling up your gas tank.

 

wow whats with all the static electricity post lately...

 

I've never been shocked by my car itself....just its electrical system...

what ive never heard of getting shocked in a tc lol crazy

 

Buy the Anti-static spray for clothing (found near the spray starch in any grocery store.) Spray it on your seats. It worked in my old car.

 

lol i wear gloves only in the winter only due to the static build up that occurs..I fear for myself everytime i lean in for a kiss in the car..shocked almost every time and it hurts hahaha

latley havent been shocked, gotta love warm weather.

 

yea i hate gettin out of my car and gettin shocked when i touch the car. so what i do is after i get out of the car, i touch the ground so that the electricity flows out. but sometimes i even get a surprise shock from the ground...lol
