Default Sticker bombing?

Despite both being a member on here as well as owning a tC since 2006, I've fallen out of the loop with the new trends ever since I got a bike a year ago. Call me a noob if you want, but a question is a question. What exactly is the whole "sticker bomb/stickerbomb" deal?

Take a load of random stickers and put it all over a part so all you see is stickers. Some, wait, very few are actually decent looking. Most of the time it looks like crap.

Gotcha, thanks guys. There's a red M3 around here that has his front lip sticker bomb'd. But up til now I thought it was some crazy sort of paint job. I kind of like it, personally.

I don't know... I think rusting a body panel (I've seen more than hoods) has to be one of the most retarded things I've ever seen. Purposely damaging a part of a car? No thanks.

Not that I'm defending sticker bombs (I've seen a couple look OK but don't really get the rest of them)... but the rust thing is just so far beyond my comprehension that I really want to slam my head against a wall when I try to think about it.

Hellaflush is dumber. They completely ruin the dynamics of the vehicle, they put tons of stress on the suspension components of the vehicle and intentionally damage the vehicle, all so their car can look like is has broken axles.

i agree. i think sticker bombing looks good and requires purposeful planning. its not as easy as slapping on a bunch of random stickers. thats like saying painting a car is simply sraying it with a bunch of rattle cans. sticker bombing requires the right stickers with intentional placement. i wouldnt sticker bomb my car, but I can appreciate it (this coming from a guy who spray painted pandas all over his hood).

people are paying big bucks (for stickers in my opinion) for limited edition custom stickers. its similar to the limited quantity of certain brand t-shirts or Nike shoes (which I also dont partake in). internet meme themed stickers are probably the biggest hit right now.

stickerbomb is for followers, same with hellaflush and people who rock those stupid mustard yellow ROTA's. dont be a follower, be original, be unique .....isnt that what scion is all about? lol@ fools that commit to these lame fads.

my personal preference when modding a car would be, some power adders, a unique set of rims, some carbon fiber here and there, interior modified somewhat visually, and a upgrade to the stereo system. jus keep it simple

That's your searching problem, it isn't a JDM thing, it's a Eurotrash thing.
