Stock tC wheels - two different colors floating out there?
One thing I've noticed, looking at pics of different peoples tC's and comparing them to mine is that it seems that just as some are now getting their tC's with Yokohoma tires (Bridgestones were originally the stock tire), there are also two different types of wheels floating out there.
I've noticed that some have wheels with more of a gunmetal look to them, i.e. the wheels are dark grey, not quite black but a very dark color. You can see this wheel on JDM JUICE2's post here:

These are the wheels I had on my FM.
Then, we have those like HighlanderMac who have tC's with more conventional silver-colored rims. You can see this 2nd color here (especially in his 4th and last photos):

Anyone else see the differences? I'd really like to hear from the dealers who post on this forum, what's going on here? I'm asking because my FM tC had the gunmetal rims on it originally, one of the rims was damaged so I took it in to get replaced and next thing I know I pickup the car and the rims looked different. I thought it was just in me and my gf's head but now I'm beginning to think otherwise and want my gunmetal rims back!

i am looking hard at both pictures, one just looks like mine do when they get dirty (the silver picture one).. am i missing something here? or is it that subtle?
i got my tC in august.. the BCP tC is what mine look like.. they look like the silver tC when it gets dirty.. well let me know what i should be looking at..

Sorry dude- i don't see too much of a difference. Of course, that doesn't mean there isn't one. I suppose there could have been a minor, minor change in how they are made or something, but I agree with everyone else. Perhaps it's a dirt/wear issue. I'm sure it's not too noticeable...

the color on the rims are a HYPER coating so it gives it a chrome yet not a chrome look to it depending on how dirty it gets.
there is only 1 color dunt get mixed up with the dirt

I dunno, color me skeptical, the lighting I can maybe believe, but it definitely isn't dirt. Back in HS I worked in a car detail shop so I definitely know what dirt or brake dust on a wheel looks like, and it certainly wasn't that. It may have been the wheel polish used when I first bought it, or something like that though...
