Default struts

Hi...been awhile. Im getting ready to change struts/shocks/springs and rotors on all 4 corners of my 05 tc. Anything i need to watch out for or to be careful of before i get started? Thanks for any advice.

Well I guess there's no problems I need to look for, but I'll try to take pictures and let you guys know if there were any problems I personally ran into.

Thanks.

Depending on mileage, you'll probably want to replace the top mounts of each shock as well, especially up front since they are MacPhersons. Use Spring Compressors! I assume you are changing the pads as well when you do the rotors. Don't forget to grease the caliper slide pins.

Nothing too crazy about what you're doing. Look for a suspension DIY in the tech section if you are doing it yourself. There are random pieces you need to remove up front and in the hatch area to access the mounting nuts of all 4 shocks.

Hey thanks for the info...I'll look in the suspension area and i do have a spring compressor. I guess I'll have to run to Toyota for the tops...i didn't think about those an yes I'll be replacing the pads with ceramic.

You can get replacement mounts from Rockauto too. Probably much cheaper than OEM. That was the route I was considering before deciding to go with coilovers.

Yeah i would probably do rockauto but it's coming apart starting today and i have 4 days to do it all. I'd never get the parts here in time.
