Default stupid bolt ons

ok so on Friday I installed my injen cold air intake and I could defiantly feel her pull allot harder then on Sunday I installed my dc header and she felt like she lost power and then on the way home from work my check engine light came on so I got it checked out and it was PO420 (I was like cool to) but any way it said caytlest system performing below thresh-hold bank 1 so in lamest terms to low back pressure in my header (bank 1)

Any one know any ways around this cause that stupid thing was $245 I would hate to have to take it off and let it site

some have used an anti-fowler to space out the 2nd o2 sensor, others have used an o2 simulator. I tried both on my cousin's tC with no luck.

First, a CAI provides MAYBE 2 hp if you are lucky, you were tricked by the butt dyno, the CAI did not provide any noticeable gains.

The code does not mean there is too little backpressure, the second O2 is not reading a lower concentration than the first O2 because the header doesnt have the pre-cat. The second O2 measures this to determine when the first cat is shot. You need an antifouler to pull the second one out of the flow a bit, hence tricking it into thinking there is a cat in between doing its job. That works for many, but not for all. Niether does the MMW fix. from what I hear.

I would also expect very little gain on the header. A header and exhaust on this car should yield a little bit of a noticeable gain, but the header alone will not be what you are expecting.

Ok so the CEL was the 2nd O2 saying something is ____ed up in the first bank. (2nd O2 was reading too much ____ coming thru) so I need to pull out t the second one so it don’t read as much ____. ok that make sense for the CEL but why did I get a power loss (im new to the tuning up a EFI system ask me about a old school vw and ill tell you how to make a10sec car but this new ____ im still learning)

like my good friend lance always says, "Most performance mods need a watch and timed course to demonstrate actual improvement. Few deliver the advertised claims. Many are actually worse than stock. The best performance mods are made to the driver."

Buy 2 HELP! (brand) Spark Plut Non-Foulers (Model # 42002), then bore 1 out with a 1/2" bit. Unscrew your secondary O2 sensor in the S-Pipe, thread the O2 sensor into the bored out non-fouler, then thread the other spark plug non-fouler that HAS NOT been bored out over the top of that one, then thread back into S-Pipe. Viola, no CEL

You will need a set of Spark Plug Anti-Foul's they are 18mm HELP! brand Part#42002.

You will need to drill out a 1/2" hole in one of the Anti-Foul's

Unbolt your 2nd O2 sensor *NOT THE ONE ON THE HEADER, THE ONE ON THE S PIPE*
(I would spray a little WD40 on this o2 as well before removing)

Now screw on the Anti-Foul with the 1/2" hole on top of the regular one and then screw it into the hole for the 02.

Screw the 02 into the Anti-Fouler's tighten everything up, Then disconnect the (-) Battery terminal for about 1 minute.

And BAM no CEL.

So let me get this straight.......You gained maybe 4-5fwhp at the most and you say you "could definitely feel it pull harder".

You will not feel that power, that is just from the sound.

Think of it this way. Your car stock will run about 15.8, add a intake and just say for ____s and giggles you actually gain 0.1 on your ET. Thats 1/10th of a second ahead of a stock tC. Would you really notice that?

An exhaust is going to make it even worse. You need a resonator:
