That's not just a CA law... that's an anywhere law. Stop signs mean stop... not "keep driving slowly."

Yep. While we're on the subject, I want to share something that happened to a friend of mine...

One day he gets pulled over for rolling thru a stop sign. He asked the cop "hey, what's the big deal? There was no traffic and I slowed down." So the cop whips out his nightstick and starts beating the poop out of him. The cop asks "Do you want me to stop, or slow down?"
