SUPA CHARGER for TC
How much do you want to bet...that all of us our saving our money for the super charger...that when it comes out...they will be short in supply and then we have to wait on backorder HA! All i can say is..THEY BETTER MAKE A LOT!!!!!!!!
Well, that's the difference between Toyota and most other car manufacturers. Toyota will postpone until it's done right, while others sell their products since day one. In the end though, there's a reason why Toyotas sell well and depreciate in a normal matter, and most other cars are worth next to nothing compared to the original cost.
I'll bet you something different...
I bet that after all this hype and all the _____in' and moanin' that some of you will get it and complain that it's not enough. if it really does bump hp to 200 that is. then I bet that we'll see used ones for sale soon afterwards...

That is also a possible tru statement...but i think any increase in horsepowa will satisfy us ya know? you probably wont see used ones for sale until people see that another company came out with a newer model promising more horse power. Then people will sell their old ones. Ya know?
i truly hope trd offers coupons when they start selling their super charger that go for suspension, brakes, clutch upgrades. hopefully that will influence people to go buy that stuff due to the increase in power. the tc is set up to handle 160hp and that extra 40hp might make it a lil harder for the suspension to control and no to mention the stopping power. i just don't wanna see a whole bunch of sc tc going out there and thinking that it won't make a difference in handling and braking. if that is the case i have a feeling that you will see alot of wrecked nice tc's out there.
^Like I said, (I'm not trying to prove you wrong). 40hp-60hp from this supercharger might not be the best bang for the buck. But to most people, it will be sufficient PLUS they get to keep their warranty. Now if you don't care about that, buy a turbo and push mad psi and get high hp, but stuff will go wrong, eventually. I'm not saying to not custom turbo, but the safest and all around even route would be the trd sc. What you're paying for in the end is the "saving me $4,000 if my engine goes boom" warranty.
To each his own, I'd love to see people test both worlds
.
I could sell my 91 mr2 and (with some extra cash), buy me a celica turbo, but it just wouldn't fit the bill to be a reliable daily driver.

turbos are much more complicated and will void warranty. Too bad they couldn't do a TRD turbo... hmmmmmmmmm
