Just got mine about 2 weeks ago.

1. Rating out of 10 - 8.5/10
2. Color - Absolutely Red
3. Transmission - 5-speed Manual
4. Options - tC Release Series 1.0 package + pedestal spoiler (on order)
5. Price - 18,300$ list, ~21k out the door (with TTL, warranty and spoiler)
6. Best Feature(s) - Good looking, good gas mileage, plenty of room for 4 to 5 average people
7. Worst Feature(s) - Could use more power
8. Coolest part - All the neat gimmickry
9. Dumbest part - 65 levels of volume on the CD deck
10. What would you like standard - It's fine as is.
11. What do you like about it - It's peppy, looks good, gets good gas mileage, can actually fit people in the back seats (compared to my old 98 eclipse), shifter is smooth, power is decently good for the price
12 .What you hate about it - the leather(?) sunroof cover thing flaps around when the roof is only tilted open. Also, it was a PITA finding a red one. Only one dealership within a 25-mile radius was helpful and nice enough to find one for us. Most dealers treated us like crap too. Mossy Toyota/Scion in Pacific Beach treated us best and found us a car in less than a day.
13.Mpg you get - Only filled up one tank so far. I calculated ~25mpg.
14. What do you think about the transmission you bought - Clutch grabs a little high, compared to my old eagle talon.. but the shifter is very smooth and has short throws. Would be nice with a sixth gear.
15. Do you wish you bought the other transmission? - Never.
16. What you think of the speed - It's no turbo eclipse, but it certainly is quick enough to be fun.
17. Would you recommend it as a first car? - This comes down to personal philosophy, as I would normally recommend an older used car as a first car. But if one can afford it, this car seems to fit all the needs of a first car. Safe, practical, good gas mileage, quick, fun to drive, and relatively cheap.

7. Worst Fearture: My seats were stained by rain, the hatch rattles, and the sunroof makes a wierd glass hitting metal noise. Technically I guess a feature would be something I don't like about the car...the ability to only have power options...I like manual stuff...window cranks..etc....so much weight could be kept down with the removal of some power crap. Not to mention the volume is a button, thats annoying...shoulda been a ****
8. Coolest part: So far, I love the TRD Exhaust, it just sounds so damn nice.
9. Dumbest part: Luckily nothing dumb on my car as of yet...but I would say the Carbon Fiber stickies that go on the door, I don't have them but they look tacky.

11. What you like about it: Its reliable, its toyota, its the first of its kind.

13.Mpg you get: Well total I usually get 320 - 340 out of a tank. But this varies, if I drive like an _______, it goes down to 260 - 280 area...

15. Do you wish you bought the other transmission? Hell no, auto sucks...I'll drive an auto when I'm old and don't feel like having fun anymore...

16. What you think of the speed. It goes 80 on the freeway, and gets there quickly. That's all I ask.
17. Would you reccomend it as a first car?
As a very first car- no. First cars should be broken in, and have some miles. First cars will get banged up at least a little, so there is little point in getting something brand new from day 1. Drive something used for a couple years.
As a first manual transmition car- no. As much as I love mine, and as smooth as the shifting is, I have to say my old Civic (as was my sister's old one and her new one) was smoother and much easier to drive, and took significantly less effort to run through the gears.

<blasphemy>I highly reccomend Civics as first cars, especially if you can grab one that's a couple years old. They're lightweight, not too powerful, inexpensive, and easy to drive. After the new driver has a couple of years experience behind the wheel, step up to something nicer... </blasphemy>

6. Best Feature: Sunroof. Keeps fingers crossed! LOL!
7. Worst Feartures: Two stages to open/close sunroof, no horn sound when using the remote to lock vehicle, no internal hatch release. Just being picky; no major complaints.

9. Dumbest part: radio cover (no problems, just looks cheap IMHO).
10. What you would like standard: Has every thing I need as is! On second thought,
how about including a rear lip spoiler.
11. What you like about it: The Style (head turning factor).

ah, i forgot about that... that is a bit of a hastle. it would have been best as one touch vent, one touch all the way back, and hold to close/release and it stops where it is. thats how my eclipse was. no major complaint, just a little annoying.
