Default Swapping Transmission from Auto to Manual

How much would it cost to swap my tC transmission from auto to manual?

Transmission cost and service fee? I was thinking it wouldnt be so hard to get a manual tranny because it seems like the manual tc uses the same tranny as the manual camry.

if i am u, i will just sell the auto and buy a manual.
no point to swap the transmission like that.
warranty should be all void.

seriously... you WILL VOID the warranty if you do a swap.. you may have added cost down the road too, fixing up stuff that would normally be covered under warranty. Just trade in the damn car and get what you want.

I think this subject has been discussed on every forum out there , from pickup truck forums to honda civic forums . Bottom line is from all these forums it always comes out the same . Its better off finding you a tC that is already manual and trading your auto in on it . plus with a swap your always gonna wonder if the shop that did the swap did the job correctly or if you did it long term maintance on it .

why didn't you just get a manual when you bought the car?

it really honestly isn't worth doing a transmission swap. if you want a manual that bad; trade your car in, cut your losses and deal with a slightly higher monthly payment. if you're going to enjoy the car that much more it might be worth the few extra bucks each month.

the best thing to do is trade in your auto and get a manual. swapping tranmissions will cut the value of your car.
