sold only in the us and now recently in canada. the tc is a us exclusive. the xa and xb are toyota echos with soul and flavor. but they are built in japan.

the xb is sold in asia as the 'bb' or something like that.

since the tc is only sold in the us, don't get fooled into buying "jdm" stuff for it off ebay because if there isn't a jdm tc, there can't be authentic jdm parts for it.

Built 100% in Japan, for the US. The Accord and the Camry are American cars. The Fusion is a Mexican car while the Impala and most Chyslers now are Canadian cars.

Hm, what's so weird about Toyota in NASCAR? The Camry is the only American built car that's "competing."

I hope there are kids in japan that are drooling over tC's like we would drool over skylines, altezzas, SR20s, RB26s, and evos(at least up until '03)

Screw you japanese kids! You can build it but you CAN'T HAVE IT!

The Camry isnt truly american either, it is assembled in the US. Design still resides in Japan as far as I know. That is the only leg the anti toyota nascar guys really have to stand on. And going by the actual rules, there is good reason to question whether they should be allowed. I dont care anything about nascar, and think that under the circumstances toyota should be allowed in.. but rules are rules so they have to make sure everyone is following them.

You cant make it "more jdm". JDM is just a market, just like USDM. I still think the whole jdm worshiping thing is hilarious. Maybe you like some of the styles over there, but JDM is just.... JDM.

I thought Toyota had a R&D department in the US? Maybe in Seattle or over that way? I remember seeing it advertised in a magazine because I was considering it as a profession when I graduated...

I believe there is a SCION plant being built in the US, so it might be US built and US bought, but still by the Jap company toyota..

I mean it might be US in the future, but right now its like 95% made in Japan..

That's almost true, except not at all true. My 07, as well as all those before, were built in Japan.

*sigh* ALL Scion's are built in Japan, simple as that.
Yes, they do have a plant for the Camry and the 2AZ is probably assembled there as well.
