did u treat your car nicely for the 1st 1000 miles? if not that is why your suspension is breaken down. the first 1000 miles are very critical.

you don't beat your car up for the first 3000 miles. right when i hit 3000 is when everything started to losen up and shift/run better. that first oil change makes such a big difference too.

from one of your other posts, i see that your break-in period included extensive amounts of "peeling out, burn outs, wanna-be drifts, revving to redline". The suspension will loosen up after being broken in, but you may have broken something. you didn't exactly follow proper break-in procedure so i wouldn't be surprised if something wasn'tkosher with the suspension.

The stock suspension system has relatively low springs rates. This is why you feel the car is "soft". Its the way the car is. The springs are also settling in considering the car is brand new.

Get springs with higher rates and new shocks to match them and you will be happier.

well.. you may not have broken anything, but it's pretty safe to say you did f*ck somethin up. You REALLY need to give a brand new car a BREAK-IN period. That means no excessively high revving, not shifting at the same rpms all the time, not taking turns like an idiot at high speeds, etc. With this car, I noticed it loosened up a helluva lot after 2000 miles. That was my break-in period.
If you want something to last, you need to take care of it. Yes, you can beat the hell out of the car after some warming up and breaking in, BUT only after doing so. I'm also guessing you're driving like this on a cold engine. This is also terrible for the car. Do some reading of your manual to find out how your car should be properly broken in. I hate to say it, but it sounds like you have no respect for your things. And considering this is an $18,000 'thing,' you're just looking at expensive repairs. BUT.. you can always try to swindle it out of your dealer saying it just messed up itself, therefore being covered under warrantee. You're gonna need to read the fine print really well for that though.

Why not let the kid have a nice new free car from moms and dads? If they can afford the car right off the bat, then than can afford to replace it in 3 months when it's toast. Hell, they know they can afford the medical bills and bail money when their kid ends up with his car wrapped around a light post. I'm sure they weighed these possibilities before they put down the cash, and set aside a decent amount for the probability that such things will happen...

Honest mistake, probably! I think it's more interesting when someone most likely knows how to write correctly, but chooses not to so they can sound badass... I wonder if they have a text-editing program that can make me sound gangsta at the flip of a switch. MS should implement it with Word along side spell-check.

You're parents gave you a hand-me down Corolla and you had to pay them for it? How was that arranged? Did you pick up the payments on it? Or did they look up the value of it and you are paying them that? See... now that is quite admirable... hope they gave you a discount though!

I paid my parents for my car, it's part of learning responsibility. If you can't afford to pay for it, you can't afford to drive it.
