A true carbon fiber hood would costs close to $1000 ... every CF hood for the tC on the market is a fiberglass skeleton with a CF weave wrapped on top of it

i got my seibon for $400.00 right before x mas from show stoppers here in so cal. they were running a sale for seibon cf hoods for $450 shipped last time i checked, but i went and picked mine up and paid cash, so i didnt have to pay sales tax. anyway, pics in my profile if you want to see. and my oem style hood has the washer holes still in it, but i beleive you can get it without...

I've heard from a number of people that seibon is the best, pricey, but the best. reinforced latch so you dont need hood pins, uv protection and a nice glossy clear coat! i couldnt be happier with my hood. everything fits perfect, the only downside is if you want to transfer everything over from the stock hood (heat sheild, nozzle hoses and rubber seal up front) you need to drill the holes for that yourself.

The tC's hood is aluminum so you still won't see a huge difference in weight reduction. One of these CF hoods would be straight up appearance mod unless you've already done everything else. If you want weight savings, one of the best things you can do is move the battery to the rear.

CF is an interesting look. IMO, if you wanna make it look good, paint certain parts of the hood to match one line or another. You know what I wanna see? A CF racing stripe from front to back. But neh, CF isn't for me.
