I'll vote for that one.

Agreed or perhaps "It's just a car..."

For the TC, it's kind of neutral. Girls I know call the TC "cute". I guess it's a chicks car if it's an automatic and a guys car if it's a stick shift. That's why I bought the 5 speed. That's how most people would see it anyway.

Its interesting that almost every one responding to this is a Male tC owner.
Are we a little defensive?

This whole thing of car gender is silly.
Very few cars (if any) are marketed to just one sex.
Why alienate half the car buying public?

....and yes the important question is why this keeps coming up?
It will keep coming up as long as people respond in mass to this topic.

like i said, before, no cars are designed for any specific gender. If so then it would said it is for girls and no guys will buy it. Scion would lose tons of profit.

"tC is a girl's car" is only an opinion
Sure it has curves and all like a girl, but does it really matter? by any chance you are a tC owner and is a guy? do u still think it is a girls car? if so please sell your tC and get a muscle car and leave scionlife. There is no muscle cars in scion

so why do you claim tC a girls car? is it because girls dig teh car? is that how u conclude that it is a girl's car?

As it has been discussed many times before, asking in an online auto forum won't get the proper results. By far the majority of those who discuss automotive topics online are male and this forum, as well as any other auto forum, is primarily visited by guys. What we have here is a bunch of men on an online forum who are very defensive about their gender orientation of their car. I am a guy, a very straight guy, and I am willing to admit the Tc isn't the most masculine car out there. It's small and compact with a lot of accessories and just a 4 cylinder engine. It's not early as masculine as the new Ford Mustang or Dodge Chargers, which of course won't be as reliable as the Tc and are gas hogs. Depending on the color (maybe super white or azure pearl) the Tc can look downright girly. About the only part of these cars that is masculine is the BMW stye headlights. However, it is a sharp looking sexy car and not nearly as girly looking as the mini-cooper, celica, or VW Beetle and is a nicer car than anything else in its price range.

Im just being nosey...

I dont think it matters what sex a car is most generated towards it matters if you like it. I do however agree that it MIGHT have to do with the engine. LOL I think a "man" in a HEMI might have started this rumor to begin with...you know those guys who MAY or MAY NOT be secure with themselves.

If you like it buy it!

We have a friend who kept saying xB's are for girls....now said friend owns an xB. {not a girl btw}

Wow, this is dragging on longer than I thought it would. I don't think it matters what color it is or whether its auto or manual. When it comes down to it, the people who are telling you that you drive a "chicks" car aren't the ones that are paying the freakin' car note. If you like it, who gives a crap what someone else thinks.
