Default tC color - (DELIVERY 10/22/05!) 56K = Death

Ok, so you all know how dealers recommend picking a second color for your tC, right? Well.. my first choice (NB) is supposedly "too hard to find" in a 5-spd for some reason, but my second choice (BSP) IS.

Do i settle for my second choice? Do i really have a choice?

Help! I don't know what to do. The dealer says it could be months before they can get ahold of a NB 5-spd, but i was really looking forward to NB.

edit: see my last post on pg2

black isnt very easy to keep clean. I would go with white if I had to rechoose.

I chose super white as my first choice and refused to compromise on the color, i may have had to wait a lot longer, but it is worth it to have the color car you want. i promise it is worth every minute! Trust me, i waited TWO MONTHS!

Default wait for it!

I have the NB five speed. I like the BCP but I couldn't find any in the state. I saw the NB and fell in love with it. I would wait until you find the perfect color!

Put your deposit down on the NB and tell them that you want it. Then go out and try to find it at another dealership or see if another one can get it to you faster. I have the BSP 5 speed and i waited 3 months for it. They kept telling me that they were getting different cars and I just kept telling them no and i want my car. I also told them the longer it takes the more free stuff they are gonna throw on it for me. They found it real fast! And yes the BSP is a PAIN to keep clean. Don't let them take the easy way out, get what you WANT.

I wanted a BSP or a FM but when I went in to get mine they where still brand new so I would have had a long long wait ahead of me but they had a ssm one on the lot so I ended up just taking that one, its an auto and no tthe color that I wanted but I love her just the same.

I wanted blue, got FM though =(
FM is nice though, and Im not to sad about not getting NB.
Same exact problem though, in fact my dealer had all the other colors except for NB, and they all refused to believe NB was even out yet as none of them had seen one.

I'm still waiting for my NB. Stick with the color you wanted. The dealer around my area told me NB is out and provided alternatives. I don't want to change the color because it's going to be staying with me for a long time and you don't want to get tired of the color of the car you're driving.

Don't settle for something that's going to cost you a few thousand dollars plus any modifications you're adding to it. I told my dealership I want BCP and that didn't come when they said it would. I ended up changing my color choice to BSP and they had it coming off a trunk two days after I changed my color choice.

First off your not gonna get anything free just cuz your waiting for the car like BigSteve says. We're not having any problems selling these things, obviously. I agree with everyone here, wait for what you want. I sell these, and it took me about a month to get my IIP 5-speed, but like xDyingForYourLovex said, the wait is worth every minute!

well, here's how far along things are... i originally put my deposit down for the NB, with BSP as my secondary... this was a mere two weeks ago. I have decided i'll go to the dealer when the BSP supposedly comes in, and decide if i really like the color... if i do not, they'll find me an NB if they want my business... or, i'll go to another dealer that will work harder to find one.

So, i'll know sometime perhaps friday, or early next week.

make sure you get what you want! don't let a good salesman talk you into something your not sure about. You say that your gonna take a look at the BSP when it comes in to see if you like it right?.. have you seen the NB in person to make a comparison?

BSP on tC is not a true black color so it is much easier to take care of. The flakes make the color more grayish in sunlight.

You definitely should see the colors in person on a car before deciding.

At one point, I thought I wanted Black Cherry Pearl until I saw it looked almost purple (rather than a blackish red). I think Flint Mica seems to be the most sparkly, interesting paint color, especially in the sunlight. NB looks a little subdued compared to some blues I have seen. I decided on Super White because I was just floored when I saw how it contrasted with the black panorama sunroof and exterior trim.

I think the black looks plain, especially when it gets dirty, but black definitely gives the car an aggressive look, especially when tinted dark. It's also hot as hell in the summertime (I live in Florida). Everyone has their own tastes, I suppose. I don't understand why some people buy school-bus yellow cars, but I see tons of Mustangs in that color.

The reason they tell you to choose another color is because they want the sale... especially asap.

If you go looking at other dealers, they're losing a sale.

I guess i got lucky. I wanted red but they only had a red auto. So the guy checks if they will get any red 5-spds. Just my luck they got one the tuesday after the weekend i test drove a beat SSM 5-spd. Guess i lucked out and love the red color. Almost got white but then was like, That red on black is hard to beat. HAHA
