Default Tc for a daily

Hello all, I'm thinking of getting a slightley used Tc for a daily driver. My 87' camaro gets horrbile gas mileage and here in louisville gas is getting up to 2.55 for 93 ( I have to run premium in the mero) I was just wondering what is everyone thoughts on driving the car everyday? I have never been a fan of toyotas, but the Tc can be a sharp looking car.

What about upgrades for the Tc, on the performance side. I know Zero Point Industries is here in louisville, they all post on 502streetscene.net (The local import board) but I haven't really heard an honest review of thier work or anything...

discuss....

i have sold tons of tCs as daily drivers, shoot I am one of them. first you don't need anything but 87OCT. it is a sharp looking car and the price is right. Lots of standard features for not so much money. check out consumer reports. also, kelly blue book said it was in the top ten coolest cars under $18K

Default Great daily driver

My tC's a great daily driver.

The mileage could be a bit better...I try to keep it under 3500 rpm's and cruise control @ 70 on the highway = 28-29 MPG (85% highway miles).

Default I love it

I use my as a daily driver. I am currently driving around the USA (chicago, NY, boston, maryland ) for the next 1 year and I did not want to put miles on my 2005 AUDI and my other car 1996 Saleen MUstang Convertible gets horrible mileage and I would never put them through all that driving. But now I can;t stop thinking of modding my scion but I have no good places in chicago right now to mod it.

I go 30 miles each way to work in mine every day, great daily driver. Mileage isn't as good as you might think, but its not bad. Generally high 20's in mixed driving.

as a daily driver it is a good car . fairly comfortable , nice lookin on the exterior . Granted the millage isnt up there in comparison to the honda Civic , But it does have alittle more spirit in the motor and can be fun to get the speed out of .

How quiet is the car? I've been driving domestics for a while, and none of them have a very quiet or for that matter comfterable ride? Also high 20's is great gas mileage as Ive been seeing 16-18 in my current ride :D

Coming from a 400hp daily driven WRX that got 22 miles a gallon, the tC is nothing but a daily driver, and I consider it a cost effective one at that, and welcome the 27-29 miles per gallon.

I've been putting 80miles per day on my tC since I got it a month ago, and I can hardly complain... Not as good gas mileage as the Civic I retired, but I don't get passed by wildlife anymore either... ;)
