im not sure what to say... will it be custom made for your tc. one thing i know is that, if mugen made a exhaust, it shouldnt be that large of a diameter. more like a 2.5 inch would sound bit more precise. and how much would it cost you anyways? mugen exhaust is a ton more expensive then TRD at least 2 times as much
yeah, a friend's dad owns a muffler shop. pretty sure they were just going to do a custom exhaust. I explained what I wanted and he mentioned mugen as an expensive possibility. That's the sort of sound I'm looking for, not wanting the flatulous oval can muffler sound, if ya know what i mean.. I would think a 2.5 would be okay w/the supercharger but w/out modifying it. any other ideas are welcome too lookin for a non-restrictive setup that won't sound like a 2.4L lawnmower

$500 fully refundable deposit on the first '05 Black Cherry Pearl a/t tC to come into Toyota of Escondido (deposit made on May 31st). Hopefully, it will arrive in the next 6-8 weeks or sooner!

I will definitely get the Scion Alarm but will wait to get any other accessories (considering the spoiler, interior lights, exhaust & 6 disc changer) until after I get the car.

Also, I just test drove an '05 Silver Mica tC at the Mossy Nissan in PB and it was awesome (more info in the "First song you are going to play in your new tC" forum)!

I put a deposit down on a silver streak mica 5-speed tC with sab as soon as was possible (way back in April).

Now I am hearing that the dealership (American Toyota in Albuqerque, NM) screwed up that order! I was the only person with money down on a tC and their only tC in June was meant for me. They got the color wrong (Indigo Ink Pearl) and they added a 6-CD changer (useless to me as the stock stereo is unacceptable in any form -- No IP-BUS on a Scion's Pioneer stereo). They appologized but gave me the excuse that they added the options that most people would want! Geez, adding options to a special order and screwing up the color (though the color thing doesn't bother me too much). F'ing rediculous!

Anyway, still ____ed at them. It is totally unacceptable but I am still getting the car. The color actually looks pretty good on the Corolla S . Plus this is the only tC in their June allocation and I don't want to wait another month.

Anyone else order a tC and find out that the dealer added unwanted options??

i would stick to TRD if i were you, some might say it would be "ricey" to mount that muffler on. TRD exhaust sound real nice though. my cousin has one on his V6 camry 5spd. its not annoying at all. if you heard it you would agree as well. does not sound like a 2.4L lawnmower at all

its just my opinion that you should stick with companies that develop products for the Tc. it doesn't look right if you have like Mugen exhaust, Nismo header, Spoon Sports shifter, etc. you know what i mean, but whatever you decide to do. good luck

just put a $250 refundable deposit on a 5 speed Azure Pearl tC w/ carpeted mats and the lip spoiler. I went to get the oil changed on my 03 corolla S and that's what i ended up with.
They had 2 tC's at the dealership.........so come July 31st (which happens to be my birthday) I'll be trading in the rolla for the tC

My corolla was given lots of love and TRD parts (check out the cardomain in my sig) but i'm pretty sure the tC will stay I bought it........Maybe some TRD springs though.

Default Deposit on Black Cherry 5- Speed

I put down a $200 Deposit at a Scion Dealer in Sacramento 10 days ago for a black cherry pearl 5-speed tC. They got in their first one, a black cherry pearl auto, last Friday. With the demand for the car the guy who bought it had to agree to have it stay as a demonstrator until they get another Friday. Having seen a silver one, and while keeping in mind color is a personal thing, I can't understand why so many want silver. The black cherry color is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I was very impressed and being far older than most of you'all on this forum and having purchased a number of cars and SUV's I have to say this is a well put-together car. Tall people will have to test sit in it though. I'm 5-7 so it fits me.

Fit and finish on the interior is very nice.

I'm choosing the side airbags so I realistically am expecting my car in mid-July. Grats to those that have theirs already.

You guys should hear the B.S. Capitol Scion of San Jose told me today!
I asked to test drive a tC and the salesman Thomas Hartmann told me that the tC would take 6 months to get one. I looked at him like what do you think I am some dipsh@t.

I left and went home and called Stevens Creek Scion of Santa Clara and asked them if I would have to wait 6 months to get a tC. The salesmans response was no, it would only take 15 days after the day I order one.

So anyone who lives in Northern California, stay clear of Capitol Toyota/Scion and especially Thomas Hartmann they cannot be trusted.

Put down refundable $200 deposit on a Black Cherry pearl tC 5 speed last night. No options at purchase although I'll probably get the strut brace and security system. Very easy to deal with the dealer. Now I just have to hope they can get the car in a timely manner.

I went to the dealer today, but I didn't put the deposit down, because my parents weren't there, and I'm leaving for China/Vietnam tomorrow.

I told the guy what I wanted, and he wrote it down on those dealer papers...

05 Flint Mica Scion tC 5-Speed

Wheel locks, rear spoiler lip, 6-disc cd changer.

I'm still contemplating the 6-disc cd changer, but chances are I'm going to end up getting it. I calculated it all out to a lil over $19k out the door. My calculations are probably wrong but yeah, we'll see.

When I get back from my vacation in 3 weeks, I will put down a $500 deposit.

Put down 500 on the 19th of June. The latest I will receive it will be August 1st or I can void the contract. Will probably end up putting more down to drop the monthly payments when the car arrives.

I put down a $500 refundable deposit on a flint/indigo tC in San Diego over in Mossy Scion...no preference for auto/manual.

I just wanted to add that my experience with Scion dealers has been extremely varied to say the least. This is my first time buying a new car, and I did a LOT of research before I decided on the tC. So i put my mind to it to get one right away, since my car right now is bout to kick the bucket. Called around San Diego, and Mossy Scion said there estimates were 2 weeks to a month in gettin one, with a deposit.

They were pretty nice, but since i was headed up to the Bay area to visit the folks, decided to try my luck there too. Had my bro call around, and man, he got 20 diff stories from 10 diff dealers. Some said 6 months, some said a week, some said they would do some 3-way dealer trade to get a white one, some said they there is no deposit, that i would just "build it" first and get it in 45 days. Some offered me to sell me the demo if it could stay on the lot until they get their first shipment in. Some called the other scion dealers "full of BS" and not following Scion "certification." Suffice to say, none of them left a good impression, in particular the Capitol Scion (which i think someone already mentioned). These two salesmen there contradicted themselves at least 3 times in regards to the deposit. Tired of all this BS, i just decided to wait the 2-6 weeks and get it in SD.

Do i just have bad luck, or is this everyone else's experience too dealing with Scion (at least in the Bay Area)? What exactly is the official word on deposits?
