tC grounding kits.... Custom or Purchased?
Well ive been looking at the Ground Fusion grounding kits for the tC and i was wondering... Does anyone own one of these?? I am sure if someone has one, and with the measurements we could all make our own custom ones (probably even better!)
Ive heard it makes a difference on the xB with shifting and lighting but does it do the same for the tC?
Is the grounding loop the same?
Body To Head..
Head To Coil Pack..
Coil Pack To Bat Neg..
Bat Neg to Body..
And lastly, this is a bit more technical but here goes... Will a 4 gauge cable produce the same effect, better or worse than the commonly used 8 gauge...
If the bigger the cable produces a better effect i might just go totally wild and overkill with marine quality -0/1 or thicker cable...Now thats BIG
Here is something else to think about...
Tranny to Bat neg (or body)
Thanks! If i do the mod il make sure so take plenty of pics on how i did it all

Do you mid snapping some pix for us? Maybe even explain how and what you did what you did...
Did you notice any improvements with the electrical system? or performance?? thanks for your help bud!
And by the way what do you mean the big three?

you will get zero effect outside of possibly helping your audio system a little. So dont go into it believing the "it will make your car run better" crap.
If you are going for high powered audio, you really just need one good ground for the amps. But if you just want to dress up the car and think the ground kit looks nice, then it really wont matter which size since you wont get any real benefit from it.
Now, from a purely electrical standpoint, regardless of actual benefit, a larger ground is always a better choice. Larger wire has less resistance per foot, and keeping ground potential low is what you need to do, which requires low resistance.

^agree
it in no way helped out anything witht he cars runnings. I got it for the audio system.
in that aspect is works quite well. A friend is running 1000 watts RMS between his amplifiers in his tC, and I'm running a tad more than 1400. His headlights and gauge cluster dims horribly when he turns things up. Me on the other hand, i get only slight dimming even when cranked up the entire way.

all tC's are coil on plug, regardless of year.
i got the nology's just so i can say i have another mod (that and i got them for $50 brand new, so...)
grounding points for the big 3=
postiive-> alternator
chassis-> negative
block-> chassis

sorry to keep bumping this but... The xb guys have experienced better idle as a result of the ground kit and better shifts for the autos... i am not expecting an extra 100hp out of the mod but does it help out any with the idle or shifts on the tc??? Even the slightest minuscule (but noticeable) bit?

I put ground wires in after I got my stereo system put in and it didn't help at all. It actually messed up my electrical system. My windows wouldn't respond properly and I would quickly lose power when lowering them or opening/closing the sunroof. My passenger side window went dead too. I took off the wires and the car is fine again. So unless you have a really powerful amp or more than one amp, don't bother with the wires.
