tc ideas?
Does anyone have any ideas about what Scion should sell as aftermarket parts, besides what they already have? i.e. lighting, body parts, performance?
I think:
Stock turbo option
More rim options
Carbon fiber stock wings (pedestal, lip)

your late to the party, this has already been discussed.
no turbo option, people would change the wastegate spring, up the boost, blow the engine, make a warranty claim.
as for rim options, why does toyota have to offer more rims. there are plenty of aftermarket options. if toyota offered more, they would be overpriced like they ones they have already are, and very few people would buy them.
as for cf parts, there are plenty of companies that make cf wings and spoilers for the car. bbist is one, kaminari i think makes one.

I personally DONT want them to offer too many more items. Car companies arent into making a ton of extra parts (they dont make as much on them since volume is lower). IF they did, they would just buy the rights to one already on the market and then jack the price up, taking one more option from the aftermarket... and probably the most popular one. The Quaife LSD is a great example of this. Now everyone has to pay more for the same part.
As for ligthing, etc, not really a huge money maker for them either, and most people into custom lighting want something a bit different. I know on that one after doing led swaps on the tC since 04. The pics of swaps I posted on scionpix.com and doctorisotope.com are only some of what I have done, and others have done a ton of setups as well. So to make something more that would really sell a lot would be tough for Toyota. Not to mention it would be more expensive than the aftermarket. I dont see Toyota being able to offer full led swaps for $100, short shifters for $75, etc.
As for wheels, same story. You will be buying another companies wheels marked up by Toyota, and they will have more overhead selling them.
I like having basic options from the dealer and then leaving the rest to the aftermarket, it supports the market that way. The only downside is having to sift through the high percentage of ricer owned "tuner" companies to find the good ones.
