I just used primer spray and then flat blacked mine. 96 cent can is the best!

U sand paper it first so the paint won't come off easily.. Then primer maybe 2 coatings.. Spray it very lightly.. U don't want it to be thick.. Give it about 5-10 mins between coatings depends how fast it dry.. Then after primer do 3 coatings of whatever color u want on them.. The more coatings u do the darker the color comes out.. I normally use rust-oleum spray paint.. Oh and also, u might wanna spray 3 coatings of clear sealer could be flat or gloss depends how u want it to look.. It protects the paint from chipping off easily.. So there u go.. Enjoy..

I normally use 120 but the more the better I guess.. Oh and don't forget to wash it after sand blasting it.. And make sure there's no water before u start painting it.. Should be fully dry.. Water cause bubbles when spray painted..

Also take note that besides what other's have listed here for steps to do, since those pieces you want to paint are plastic... I would highly recommend that you also use a spray on adhesion promoter. It goes on/dries clear and helps to etch the plastic a little more to make your colour coat(s) adhere properly and be less prone to flaking off. It's just as cheap as the colour spray paint you're going to use.
