Well what about the tC Eng.? will that drop in? (newbie question) what the eng designation (name) in the xA/xB? and what's the tC eng from?

rather stick a celica engine
its from Camry, so I dont think it will fit without some severe surgery... and maybe not even with that... probably better go with celica engine

the 1.8L celica/matrix/elise engine has around 180hp and will fit better than the 150hp 2.4l camry engine. both are normally aspirated. |
does the ecu monitor the the transmission because you'd have to swap that too right? for it to be street legal and pass. thaz my question for a swap right now
|
do it
so what exactly would you have to swap ?
Lets say 1.8 Celica Engine Transmission motor mounts probably some kind of work for the weight of the engine cut away some of the engine compartment... what a mess, someone do it ! https://www.scionlife.com/forums/ima...s/icon_lol.gif |

so could you use a celica head on the xb engine and bore the xb engine to get the xtra .3L?

I'm new to Toyota, what are all the diff. eng. designations?
What's the echo motor called? What's the celica motor called? What's the camry motor called? What's the size of the celica motor? Celica motor going to be in Elise? |

Current Celica GTS: 2ZZ-FE late 03-current Camry/2004 Solara 4cyl: 2AZ-FE Both Celica motors are 1.8L. And yes, Lotus begged Toyota to use the GTS engine (2ZZ-FE) including it's transmission for the Elise. |

sweeet! |
does that thing got a hemi?
 I would love to see the first person try to put a Hemi in a Scion. You could put it where the back seat is. lol
Anyway, I was wondering, there is a Blitz S/C available for the xA/xB, the factory offers one too right? Do they prepare the engine for S/C or just take a N/A engine and bolt it on? How much boost can the 1NZ-FE handle? (1nz-fe is right isn't it? I'm a newb.) Short of ordering custom parts, what is available off the shelf for performance? Most importantly, what would you do to your Scion? keep it N/A? Supercharge? Intake/Header/Exhaust mods? Post your thoughts. How do you change the stock ECU settings? Do you need chip? Flash programme? Piggy-back controllers? How 'tunable' will Toyota make these cars. How long will the scions be here? is this like a one time offering or are they going to be around for 20 yrs like the civic. ( I hope so) WHY WONT THEY BE SOLD IN CANADA!!!! When GM released the Ecotec engine the were the first and largest makers of aftermarket products for it. Same thing with Mopar and the SRT-4 engine. Will TRD do the same thing? If they do, will they give thought to carrying body kits/accessories as well or will they leave that to private companies? Where do you want Toyota and TRD to take the Scions? |
