Default tC mods - TRD springs + 19" wheels

Does anyone have these mods? I have the TRD 19" wheels and plan to install the springs next week...just wondering if it will rub the tires with these combination.

Did you get the 19" TRDs as a dealer installed option?

And if so, how much was it?

I don't think they will rub. The TRD springs don't lower that much.

those are great wheels, but isnt that a bit much for that car? 19s? no offense to you, i am a huge fan of the wheels, but IMO i think they are too big. I wish they made those in a 17 or 18 for better performance.

Nice car, congrats.

I think they will. Everything I've read about the tC with 19s and TRD springs said they rub.

I can't remember if I posted this on this board or on Toyota Nation but you're going to pay a fortune for replacement tires. 19's are not considered very common to tire companies. You would actually pay less for the same tire made for a 20" wheel. But DAMN, those look nice!

I would be worried about scraping. Especially through turns. Don't turn and brake at the same time...

It seems that the TRD springs should be fine with the front and rear 19" wheels

Front wheel before the drop

Rear wheel before the drop

Does TRD springs drop 1.25" or 1.5"? I think 1.5" drop will be too much for 19" wheels. Can someone please confirm this?

These rims look so sexy, however, I just couldn't justify the cost $1600 for them. Do you find other good quality and nice looking ones that are, say, under $1000?
