TC Reving problem
For like the past couple of days, my Tc have been reving a lot lately. Like i would turn my engine on and the RPM needle stays at 0.5-1 like all the time. Is that supposed to happen? Also everyttime i try gasing alittle bit, it goes up to like 3 or 4 even though i dont even press it that hard.
...wow...you need some knowledge bad...
the car is supposed to be between 500 and 1000 rpms. usually right in the middle. this is called "idling"
second, when you press the gas pedal when not in gear, the car is going to rev very fast because there is no "load" on the engine. it isn't doing anything, it isn't moving the car so yes, it is going to rev straight to redline in a heartbeat with very moderate throttle input.
in short
THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM, IT IS NORMAL!

The tc does rev pretty quick, i think idling around 800 is normal idling for it. When the car is cold it idles over 1000 for a short time but falls gradually as ist warming up. if you are not in gear and rev it, it shoots up to 3-4K really quick.
^^^that's gonna happen in any car. Just like drax said, there is no load and any car in neutral will rev quickly to 4k. The tC actually revs pretty slowly when in gear...let me rephrase...it has a slow throttle response when in gear...to fix that, get a lightened flywheel
