Default tC: Small crack in blinker mirror causing condensation

Hello All,

I have a small crack in the clear plastic cover for the side mirror blinker and now have condensation and some water getting in the blinker.

a) how do i open it up w/o breaking the housing
b) is there a quick fix for this? ie seal the edges and inside?

Thanks
Jomile

There is no quick fix to that, you have to take the cover of your light off and open the blinker... that or let it dry completely. After it's dry, you have to reseal it with some silicon or something that is waterproof.

Here is a link to show you how to take the light apart... it's how to change the LEDs inside. While you are drying it out, you may want to do something like this. ...or not.

Hope that helps.

I am pretty sure that you can buy them at the dealership. You might be able to find some in other places, like ebay, but I know of none off the top of my head.

Try to google it, or search through the forum. That search button works wonders! :D

You better get that patched up quick or you'll start losing blinker fluid. Just ask captain laziness, he'll tell you all about the time he ran out of blinker fluid on the highway!
