tc Subwoofer Amp setups - request pictures
MODS: I was debating whether to put this post in the electrical forum but this really isn't a technical question.
Does anybody have pictures of their subwoofer and amp setups. I'm really concerned for the lack of space in the trunk and whether you can still have that trunk cover on. The only two I've seen searching around the forums are the stock Bazooka and someone else's Infinity. Does anyone have pictures of regular boxes, anything custom they made, or unique setups that are optimal for the tC? Dimensions as well as speaker size would help.
keywords: sub, subs, speakers, tweeters, amp, amps, box, 10", 12", 8", 6"

I have my amp just sitting in the storage area to the right of the spare tire and a 10inch dual voice coil sub in an el'cheapo 25 dollar wal-mart box on the left side (so I can access the storage cubby). It sounds just great for me. I'll take a few pics with my phone soon. It really isn't anything fancy though.

If you're really concerned about the setup, get the VSE Bazooka sub that Scion sells. You can install it yourself with a bit of savvy and it's like $260 with the sub, enclosure, and amp. If you just can't live with the stock system, you could still buy it and swap out parts - the sub is installed in the box in a non-proprietary way, so another 10" would probably work fine. There is an amp in there too, so if you really didn't like it, you could switch it out. Alternately, you could probably rewire it, but that would only make sense if you had something other than the stock deck.

I will eventually take out the spare tire and stuff and put a fiberglass enclosure with 2 12w6v2 jl subs... As far as my current set up I have a 2 10" kicker compvrs in a ported/vented box with the amp mounted under the passenger seat...

I just mounted my amp to the hard board behind the back seat, and placed my 10 sub next to it in a 1 cubic ft. enclosure. My stuff is all black and silver, so it matches my interior nice. The rear cover fits perfectly over the sub.

not that great of pics but it looks really good up close. there is blue neon highlighting the amp and blue led's on the hatch set up to sound pulse that light up the whole trunk when the subs hit

i dont want a bazooka subwoofer or i would have actually gotten that... what i really am after is the box like that so i can fit either a 10" or my 12" subwoofer in it... prob is i dunno how to get my hands on just a box like that!

ok well here's my setup, sorry, you won't be able to find this anywhere to buy it, i built it myself. but maybe it can give you an idea. the box could be positioned to either side of the trunk you just have to rebuild it accordingly. I built mine this way more for looks than utility.
This may seem like it takes up a lot of space, but it's not too bad, you can throw stuff to the sides of it and if something's bigger, then you can just put the seat down.
The sub is a 10" elcipse, a 12" would fit in there just fine too. The box is made of 3/4" mdf, and i replaced that whole flimsy trunk floor with the same mdf. The box sits half above the floor level and half below, like an iceberg. if you look closely the floor is split on the right side, underneath the right side panel is where my amp sits. All tools that came with the car are still under there, just without the styrofoam compartments. The bottom of the box sits within my spare tire.
the cone of the sub reflects that blue neon light mounted to the cover, so it looks real cool in the dark, but i couldn't get my camera to take the picture right.
I personally like having the cover there, people can't steal what they can't see right?
here's a box i had made before i built my recent one
