Default tC for tall people?

Are there any tC owners out there that are of above average height? Perhaps I was doing something wrong, but during a test drive yesterday, I noticed that I did not fit exceptionally well inside the tC. I'm 6'4" which isn't tiny, but are there any solutions people have used to accomodate their height issues, if any?

Perhaps a longer seat rail underneath?

I've researched the full compliment of cars in this price range and this surpasses every other available car. I'd hate to have to buy a truck or settle for something less because it was slightly too small.

Thanks in advance.

I'm 6' even, but I've noticed I enjoy being closer to the wheel than most other drivers.

Haven't bought one yet, but was definitely comfortable on the test drive.

I would imagine if the dealer wanted to sell the car badly enough, he'd find a way to move the seat.

im 6 2 and it is confortable on long rides.

i need to lean teh seat back a bit, kinda recline. Its more confortable than any other car i have ridden in.

including..

1999 grand am, 2004 monte carlo, and 2003 alero.

i think this has been adressed before.

I'm 6'7" and own a tC....but then again I've always loved smaller cars....I recline the seat more than most people do....but i just think it's more comfortable that way.....i can't stand sitting all ***** style like most older folk......it's all in your preference.....

6'4" here. It took a day or two to adjust to the seating position. Once I got my seat all adjusted, its actually very comfortable. My previous 3 cars have had very upright windshields, and upright seating positions. Its reclined more than I would normally, but its because my last car had the best Recaro's ever. For me, the deeper the bolsters and the snugger the fit, the more upright I tend to sit.

Im 6'2" and dont really have a problem... i have heard of other tall people complain though. I do like to recline a bit more than most, and i tilt the rear of the seat down. i suggest playing with the seat adjusments more. But never buy a car you dont fit in, youll regret it.
the back seats do have alot of leg room even with the front seats all the way back, so you probably could get longer seat rails to give you more leg room, but the steering wheel doesnt telescope

I'm 6'5" (36" inseam) and I think the tC fits me like a glove. I've got enough head room and my knees aren't bent so much that they hurt on long trips (and my knees suck!). Driving this car is very enjoyable. I love this car.

6'3" here, and very long legs... certainly took me a few days to get used to being in the tC, but with the seat at its lowest, and furthest back, and slightly raked. i find the tC to be very comfortable, even coming from the higher driving position of a Focus. i think a lot depends on whether it's a stick or automatic too... mine is the 5spd and therefore any car HAS to feel comfortable for my left leg when clutching - might be less of a problem for automatic drivers?

There is a control on the left side of the seats, try pumping it down to angle your seat differently. I am 5' 7" and dont have a problem. BUT GET THIS my mom is 4' 11" and she took it for a drive last night around the block. She pumped up the seat so high that she was able to get her head touching the top of the car, so If she can raise it over 8" to get to the top, I have to think you can shave a few to bring you down a bit.[/b]

a hair over 6'2" here and i haev no probs. The trick, a was mentioned already, is to pump the seat to the right height to allow for knee clearence, angle the seat back, and slide it back to the max. Also use the roll **** on the side to sngle the front down. Do these and there should be no problems.

Default Damn...

I'm 5'10".... and if I sit 90 degree then even then my hair will scrap the roof...

But who the hell sits 90 degrees anyways... If you are over 6" I'd figure you have to lean it quite abit. No a problem if you have long arms, if not then your SOL.

Damn... Yow Ming and ____.

I'm 6'3" and am a torso boy to boot. I have the seat fairly reclined. And I never use the shade thingy. My GF's Monte Carlo boat is way worse and thats a big **** car. I can sit in it with my head sticking 4 inches out of the sunroof.

Any one else reminded of that old Pepsi commercial with Shaq driving a Miata with his head through the canvas roof? Classic.

Dude my sister had a '94 Celica and with the passenger seat pushed all the way back and moonroof raised up, my knees were pressed against the dash and my head was still tilted. It truely sucked.

I'm a 5'10" "big girl" and my concern was can I even fit into this car??? Fortunately, the seats are comfy and roomy even for plus size chicks like myself. I like to lean the seat back in any car so that is the preference for my tc. I just bought it tonight so I am sure I will find the right seating for me. For now, it's cool but it will take a little time to adjusting. I had a 2001 Madza 626 with the seat pushed all the way back and leaning back! I guess I looked a little gangsta!!! H aha
